Just keep swimming , swimming

What are yours?

You have two ears and one mouth....listen more and talk less

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."

"Nobody can hurt me without my permission"

"Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth"

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win"

Louisa May Alcott

"Everybody ain't able"

Specializes in NICU.

You can't go wrong with "I'm good enough. I'm smart enough. And doggone it, people like me."- Al Franken as Stuart Smalley on Saturday Night Live (before he became a senator)

"All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well."

I was on a book-reading tear last summer and this became my mantra, but, I don't know where I read it.

Also, my mom always said, "Carry on as if you knew what you were doing."

Specializes in Pain, critical care, administration, med.

You can't make this stuff up!

Don1984, I love Suart Smalley in the mirror with his daily affirmations. Brilliant.

There are so many literary references to looking in the mirror and giving a pep-talk to your reflection. "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" Song: "I Believe In You."

And there was a self-improvement book by Napoleon Hill where one of the exercises was to talk to yourself in the mirror each day.

"Piece of cake". Used to get me in trouble with the other students in LPN school.

"Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end." Favorite!

I like that one..

All that wiggles isn't jello

Beauty is skin deep but stupid is to the bone-this is my favorite saying....why? I say it when I want to slack off and not study-it usually gets me to hit the books :sneaky:

Fake it til you make it

Specializes in Trauma Surgical ICU.

I can't say it on here LOL.. it has a 4 letter word in it and it goes something along the lines of " .... it" as I throw my hands up when I have done all I can do :) It really works in my personal life too hehe

I thought I'd bump this with one

Be the change you wish to see in the world.....Gandhi
