I keep deodorant, tampons, and a light fleece jacket in my locker. I wear the hospital's surgery scrubs, so if mine ever get "stuff" on them I can just change into a clean pair. When I was a CNA the only other thing I took was my clipboard, which is the kind that opens up so I can keep extra pens, highlighters, tape, alcohol swaps, scissors, that sort of thing in it. :) And my purse.

Ooh, good idea.
Thx!
Nothing. I show up with a pen and a chapstick in my pocket and my lunch in a plastic bag. I wear my gait belt and badge and use a facility-provided cheat sheet. When CNAs pass ice water in the beginning of the shift it comes in big thermoses. I grab one of those for myself to use for the day. I don't think there's any need to saddle myself down with a bunch of junk. Not to mention, I have brought cute water bottle and travel mugs to work before and I forget them there and they walk off by the next day.
We have lockers and at this point I don't even know what's in mine anymore.
The only thing I can think of that's good to have around are tampons. I've been stuck using incontinence pads a couple times and let me tell you, that suuuuuuucks.
You all are ametures...lol...I have a backpack that I bring to work with me. It has Tylenol, school books, ipod+player, TUMS, Immodium AD, cough drops, pens. pencils, scissors, alcohol prep pads, highlighters, magazine, hand sanitizer, chap stick, lotion, my wallet, cell phone. I dont bring an extra set of scrubs and socks though, i have thought of doing that but that would be too much to bring then...lol...hope you all enjoyed, I am a high maintanence dude..lol!
I have three items to add:
1. Sharpie marker -- very handy for marking on bedpans, denture cups, wipes containers, tubes of barrier cream, etc.
2. Shout wipes -- for those times you spill on yourself and it's not bad enough to make you change scrub tops
3. Stethoscope -- I don't care for using "community" stethoscopes when it comes time for vitals
