What time does your shift begin? 7? 8?

Published

Different from the usual 7 to 7,

I heard of 2 hospitals that begin their shift from 3 to 3.

Another hospital from 8a - 8p vise versa in NYU.

Specializes in A myriad of specialties.

My shift runs from 2200 to 0800; four ten-hour shifts are nice!

Specializes in Med/Surge, Psych, LTC, Home Health.

7pm to 7:30 am, here. =) I am not expected to arrive anytime before 7am (though I can clock in a LITTLE early), and am not allowed to clock out anytime before 7:30.

My acute dialysis unit is open from 0630-2000, we work various 8- or 10-hour shifts. Mine is 0930-2000 (I would prefer to get out sooner, but if I wanted to work 8's it would be 1130-2000, which is even worse).

The floors and ICUs work 7-7, some also have 8-hour shifts.
