Do you think those books Cruz waved around implied anything that he said they did? The quotes were out of context and implied nothing of the meaning that Cruz attributed to them. What a silly dog and pony show. Senator Blackburn is another MTG and a blight on humanity. But yet the people of Tennessee saw fit to elect her. Why I will never spend a dime in Tennessee.
Cruz's presentation made it appear that he was opposed to teaching small children to be polite and kind regardless of physical appearance. He seems to favor using children's books when showcasing silly partisan outrage. Last time it was Dr Suess.
On a lighter note Cruz seems to have fostered some interest and the writers are benefiting from having best sellers.

So if a woman has a member, but defines herself as a woman, then I do to. I confess to struggle a bit with the genderless but if someone defines themselves as neither man or woman, I have to allow that.
It is not for me to define a persons gender.
It's actually very simple. A woman is a adult female.

I guess you make your position clear that trans-women are men. You're entitled.
Personally I get bothered when an oppressed group rises to the top and then tries to oppress others trying to reach the same position. You'd think they'd be more willing to help.
I saw this when I lived in Atlanta and white gay men were wildly successful but yet shut out African American men from their businesses. I remember when one bar decided to open up a dance floor it seemed to attract a lot of black gay male men, and then they decided to go membership only and only gave membership to white gay men.
This is how I view women like MTG that is threatened by transgendered women. Time was she couldn't even get elected, but having transwoman in power is "threatening".
Of course I understand like you, she thinks of them as men rather than equal human beings it's no wonder she's threatened.

I'm sorry but I just can't think of the beautiful and talented MJ Rodriguez as a man and have her compete in the "Best Male Actor" category at the Emmy Awards. She says she's a woman and that's I allow that and accept it, and thus I say she's a woman.
Nor can I consider the boxer below as a woman that should compete in female boxing.
For you it's cut and dry because she was born male and he was born female and they should be disqualified. I get it and you can feel how you feel about it.
These people pose no threat to me or to society. They should be welcomed and celebrated.
Some GOP senators want to cherry pic and misrepresent Jackson.
Confirmations hearings are rarely a pretty site to behold which is why I tend not to follow them much. This one has been interesting as have been most of them lately.

Female as defined how?
By Chromosomes maybe? What about people with various conditions that result in consistent 'male' sex characteristics but an XX pair of chromosomes, and vice versa?
I get the impression those who insist sex and therefore gender are always strictly binary define sex and gender as how the person appears to them, so an intersexed person who's development is primarily female but with more outward characterstics that appear male should live as a male so these binary-insistent people don't feel uncomfortable by having to confront reality?
It's not really a question at this point whether sex development consists of a number of factors, stages, phases, etc which are fickle and can often be inconsistent, since we all seem to agree that gender is innate then that would mean the gender we innately identify with is just as fickle and potentially inconsistent with other characteristics, including outward presentation of male or female sex.
I sort of get the idea that if everyone was always either strictly male or female that would be simpler, and there's something comforting about that, but I would keep in mind a Yogi Berra-ism: "If the world was perfect, it wouldn't be".

What???
So, women who have been fighting for equality with men, should now welcome men into the women's realm?
The NCAA over the past 30 years has gone through a lot of changes to make room for more opportunities for woman athletes.
Now, they have allowed what was a average athlete for three years on the men's team to compete on the women's team. He took a spot on the team and scholarship from another woman. He won many competitions that should have gone to a woman. He won a national championship that should have gone to another woman.
Lunacy!
The boxer you showed a pic of absolutely should compete with the woman. He may or may not do well at higher levels. They may possibly have rules on hormones and supplements and not be allowed to compete. That's a choice he made.
The actress I don't know much about. I see she has been nominated and won a few best actress awards. Is she that good, or has been elevated by her trans status?
Rachel Lavine, I don't believe would have been nominated and most if us wouldn't know her if she wasn't trans.

As evidenced by what else I posted, we as a society can't even decide what a woman is.
So, how do we know Jackson meets the most important qualifications our president requires? That is, being a black woman.
