Something to understand what nurses think about re the Current News and their opinions!

Nah...it sounds like disgruntled white conservatives who get riled up by their media outlets and favorite public figures and then undertake armed protests or occupations of state or federal properties, or breaking into the Capitol building after emotional speeches imploring them to "STOP THE STEAL". It includes angry conservatives yelling and acting out at school board meetings because they've believed abunch of lies about what is taught in our public schools. Just like it included angry conservatives who believed that there was a secret liberal/Clinton child sex trafficking ring in the basement of a pizzeria. That kind of "feelings" driven action...you know what I'm talking about.
Maybe you weren't aware that the BLM protests of 2020 were about raising awareness of police brutality and violence against unarmed black men. Are you one of the people who were offended by the scale and scope of those protests or did you fall for the accelerationism and attribute the violence and property damage to the protesters?
That convoy of thugs cost hundreds of millions of dollars in lost trade, especially to automobile production in Detroit and, of course, nurses who cross that bridge every day to work I. Detroit hospitals couldn't get there. The entitled thugs had a party complete with a hot tub in front of the Parliament building in Ottawa. For what purpose? For a nothing grievance since the truckers were already vaccinated to deliver to Canada. They obstructed other's freedom to move freely in their own.cities.

For example Salon's most popular article is about nut job Pat Robertson and his claims of Putin being called by God. Where as Fox News is critical of Biden not boycotting Russian oil. CNN's homepage as this "Prosecutors resigned after New York DA said he wasn't prepared to move forward with indictment of Trump"
None of these stories is presenting false information.
Do you believe that Jeanine Pirro or Tucker Carlson possess any journalistic skills. CNN and Salon do not protect reporters who lie every might of the week. Fox pays their staff to lie and that is the difference.

They aren't journalists so whether or not they have "journalistic skills" isn't relevant.
From wikipedia "Jeanine Ferris Pirro[2] (born June 2, 1951)[3] is an American conservative television host and author, and a former New York State judge, prosecutor, and politician."
"Tucker Swanson McNear Carlson is an American television host and conservative political commentator who has hosted the nightly political talk show Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News since 2016."
Otherwise I don't want to get in a spitting match about who is better. I was making the point of how news organizations pick and choose what stories they chose to publish and promote as important, not a deep dive into their merits and faults.

I would agree that Fox also reports actual behavior and as you said, all media make choices about the behavior and narrative they will publish. The problems with our media sources isn't limited to simply false information. Propaganda is much more than just false information.
One of the reporters asked a member of the cabinet about Biden's low polls. I believe, in part, it's because of the way the media prefers to frame the news in this current era. As a culture, our amygdalas are under near constant assault.

I can't disagree with you there. With a 24 hour news cycle there's lots to cover.

But the not so skeptical set believe that commentary IS the news and Fox certainly has set their mark low in the industry as producers of reliable stories since such a small part of their cycle is reporting and such a large part of the 24 hours is ranting. CNN and MSNBC aren't the news either, but rather are provide context on the news. But they don't exist to disseminate disinformation. Fox acts as if were on Putin's payroll and is about as reliable as Pravda.

I disagree. Fox is covering Putin and Russia in a very negative fashion as well as covering the atrocities they are committing. They are clearly pro-Ukraine. Of course they are sometiems using it as a spin against Biden. They are very critical of the US buying oil from Russia for example. It's mentioned often.

I didn't pay it much attention but I think it was spurred by an expiration of some exemption and that unvaccinated drivers were required to quarantine for two weeks after crossing back into Canada. But then it became a more broader protest of their covid policies. Given their high rates of vaccination and support for their covid policies, it is likely a fringe that started it.
What you describe seems a pretty effective protest. It got worldwide coverage. Protests are meant to be disruptive and inconvenient for others.
I think as covid rages on and becomes a part of our lives support for vaccinate mandates are going to dissipate and it's a good time to protest them.
New York City is lifting some vaccinate mandates.

How many hours in the day does Fox actually have a reporter actually reading news stories vs. commentators who rant against vaccines, masks, LGBTQ issues, etc? Fox was the most important puppet master of Trump's brain and those of his followers. Serious reporters like Shepard Smith, Megyn Kelly (well, semi-serious), Carl Cameron and Chris Wallace have left because of the pressure to bow to the looney right. Tucker Carlson, for instance, never objected to us buying Russian oil until it was finally pointed out to him that Putin is dangerous to US interests.

New York City was lifting mandates before the truck convoy. What is it that you think they accomplished except to have a party? NYC's decision was based on the Covid numbers, not the truckers.

I don't think the portrayal of the convoy as a majority of Trump supporters is off. Trump praised the convoy in Canada and Trump donators help fund the American version.
They seem themselves as defenders of American freedom, as evidenced by the many American flags. The use of the Confederate flag is out and the American flag is in. Sad to me that when I see gaudy instance of the flag I sometime cringe. I got behind a truck with a huge flag in the truck bed and two medium sized off the windows. Sure enough there was also bumper sticker F-bomb Joe Biden.
But no they aren't protesting stop the steal, or out to show their support of Trump.
