I posted about a month ago about camp nursing and decided to go for it!
I did some research and interviewed with a camp in Pennsylvania and they hired me for a 4 week session over the summer! As part of my payment, my 3 kids get to attend the camp also!
We are so excited! I imagine the work itself will be pretty similar to school nursing. They have 4 nurses to do rotating shifts and every 4th night on call.
My kids are practically drooling over all the activities and we will stop in New York City for a few days after camp is over (We gotta plan a meet up Farawyn!!)
I couldn't find that website.
My bad, here it is: CampStaffNurses - Summer Camp Jobs for Counselors and Staff. Find Summer Employment and Camp Staff at CampStaff.com
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to, but has anyone worked at Frenchwoods before? It's a camp in NY, and I want to know what I'm getting myself into before I accept a job.
I felt comfortable accepting a position with the camp I did based on how they presented themselves and because several employees I spoke with had been with the camp for 10+ years.
