What do your school uniforms look like?

Perhaps this will turn out to be an interesting topic to discuss.

What color/style are the uniforms that you all wear (or have worn) to clinical rotations? I currently attend an LPN-to-RN bridge program. The scrubs at the school that I currently attend are maroon. They consist of a unisex tunic top and unisex bottoms. We have the option of wearing a white warm-up jacket on cool days.

When I was attending an LVN program back in 2004 and 2005, our uniforms consisted of a unisex royal blue tunic scrub top and white pants. We also had the option of wearing a white warm-up jacket on cold days.

Our school wears white too. The tunics are zip up, with the forest green stripe on the sleeve, and school patch on the arm. We got to buy our own white pants..I chose the Urbane flip pant :) I'm in the RN program by the way, not sure what the LPN's wear, their building is across the street from the main campus

it was ALL white when i was n school. that included ALL white undies, shoes, socks, t-shirt (if u wore one) etc if u were light skinned. darker skinned folks had to wear darker undies that didn't show, basically they didn't want to see ppl's panties/undies/bras thru the scrub top/bottom.

I am in LPN school and we have to wear all white uniforms and a white lab jacket with our school patch on the right arm. Our shoes have to be white. Our hair has to be up in a bun if it's long and only 2 rings per hand and 2 lobe earrings per ear....Very very strict.

We wore white scrubs, no shirts allowed underneath, white leather shoes, stud earrings only, no necklaces, only rings allowed were wedding rings. We had an 'underwear talk' the first day of school, lol! Graduated in December......haven't gotten around to having a scrub burning party yet.

LOL that's one of the first things on my agenda when I graduate. Burining my scrubs and buring careplans...LOL

For me, community college ADN program--it was white. Any type of scrub top and bottom but had to be white. Transfered to another program and they had a specific manufacturer (Angel, something or other). Again, white but had a 1 inch blue trim on the bottom of the sleeve. There were two styles: scrub and a fitted top with a collor and tie back--very cute. However, the uniforms and the material they were made will last for at least 10 years. Oh, blue school patch on shoulder.

You could wear rings and have 2 earings per lobe...wow...not for me. No rings, necklace, only one stud in ear--no other visable piercings or tattos.

ok i am going to date myself but back when i went to school, our uniforms were dresses. it was a green and white pinstripe, also it had to fall below our knee, we wore white( not nude) stockings and nursing shoes not sneakers and when we were in our 2nd year and we were "capped" we also wore our caps. which by the way we were extremely proud to wear.

Oh, it was not that long ago. Thank goodness for changes. For the life of me, I could not imagine working in a dress. Gave up dresses for pants in the late 70s...never looked back. You didn't mention, did you wear a blue cape???? My how times have changed and how our profession has expanded.

This is interesting.

I find it rather curious that no one has posted yet about having to wear white uniforms for their nursing program's clinical rotations. In my opinion, white uniforms used to be the classic mark of a nurse. I guess this concept has changed.

Not fast enough for me...still required to wear white. As a group in clinicals, you can see up comeing and going from afar. At least it is not a dress with a cap ....

Wow... I can't imagine wearing a skirt to work and then doing all the work we do! But those outfits were really cute! :)

We had to wear royal blue scrubs with our school patch. We could wear a long sleeve white shirt underneath our scrub tops and white shoes but nothing else. As for jewelry... one pair of earrings, a wedding ring, and a watch.

We have blue as well, white shoes , a watch and our badges.
