What prereq classes are you taking this fall? How many to go?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I'm taking Algebra-- Last One before Spring Nursing school application!

My school is a 2 year program that doesn't require any pre-reqs beyond high school biology and chemistry but I'm taking micro this fall so when I start the nursing program in January I'll only have my nursing classes to worry about. Eng, Soc, Psych, Math, A&P....ALL DONE!

Growth & Development was easy, I took the same professor for Psych & HG over a summer session and he was really good IMO.

Stats was fine, but I know that was due to the professor I had for that class. I am horrible at math, but he broke everything down. And like previously stated, stats is real life, physical. It was easier for me to grasp once I had the right understanding and a professor with a great teaching model.

I am nervous about Chem, it is not required for the ASN program, but is for the BSN and I am really trying to get all those courses out of the way to ensure I follow through with completing my BSN if I get into the ASN program.

My husband may possibly be getting transferred through work to Chattanooga, so if that happens and I have to start up there the whole game changes as to what classes are required, some of my classes will be wasted, and Chem is the ONLY pre req for the day progam there, so I have to get moving on that one ASAP whether I like it or not!

After a Bachelors degree in something not that useful, working full-time, and taking one or two classes at night for the past year, I just have Micro left! :D So I will take that this fall, and maybe a "fun" class in the spring just to keep myself in the habit of studying and working hard. I also have to take our admissions exam, but that'll be done (hopefully) in a couple weeks and I can relax. :) I'm going for my Associates and should start at the end of May 2013 if all goes as planned.

Hey All!

This fall '12 Im taking Chemistry, Microbiology,Sociology and Nutrition.

Im most worried about Chemistry so I started buying books on it and trying to give myself a headstart and making a study schedule and sticking to it. These are my last pre-reqs and I'm so anxious to get them out the way. I hope I get into Nursing school that Im applying for in Spring '13 !!

Returning back to school after figuring out that I wanted to become an RN. Going PT until I can get back FA due to messing up my first year there. Have to pay out-of-pocket until then. Luckily I was able to get a $500 Fresh Start scholarship thru my CC. So I have a long way to go until I'm done with pre-reqs.

Fall 12:

Comp I (online - 2nd 8 weeks)

Medical Terminology

Studying to CLEP the majority of my pre-reqs so that I can focus all on my science courses and to finish pre-reqs quicker as well.

I'm taking A&P 1, Soci, Tech Writing, Govt 2 & Bio for science majors. A full load but luckily I am able to work/do homework at work! That's a big help for me. I have 3 classes to go before nursing school! :) Micro, A&P 2 and Stats.

This fall semester I am taking Chemistry 1, Sociology, Medical terminology, and Govt 2. I currently have 39 credits, I am planning to apply to the BSN program for fall 2013 if finish with all my pre-reqs classes by that time.

I already have a bachelor's degree and had most of the prereq's completed except one. So I will be taking Chemistry 2 in Spring 2013 since my school doesn't offer it this fall and then I will be applying for the BSN program for Fall 2013.

I'm taking A&P2, Micro, Statistics and Life Span Psyc this fall.. That will finish up everything I need to apply for the program here!

I will be DONE with my pre-reqs at the end of the semester....YAY!!!!! I'll apply in January, but won't know until April if I'm accepted or not. The wa-ai-ting is the hardest part :)

This is my first semester taking my nursing pre-reqs and I'm starting off slow. This semester I'm taking CIS 111 and Psych 241. Next semester will be a little heavier.

I'm taking A&P with lab and Algebra. Next semester I will take Chem and I will be done and able to apply for the RN program...
