What do you pack for breakfast & lunch?

Hello Everyone!

So I've been working at a private ASC. It's very fast-paced. My hours are 6-2 daily. Lunch is 30 mins. Since it has been so busy lately, I've only had 15 mins to spend for lunch. I'm in my OR scrubs so if I had to walk out, I'd have to change out of my clothes. The question is... what do you busy ppl pack for breakfast & lunch?? Sometimes I eat a lil bit of my sandwich, yogurt...etc for breakfast and then finish the rest for lunch. But I want to eat healthier.

Any suggestions for quick recipes? :) I'm sick of sandwiches!

PB & J is my standard. No refrig. needed, easy on the stomach.

Clif Bar, some almonds and a piece of fruit.

I have oatmeal in the morning lots of fiber and holds me for hours. They make high fiber oatmeal bars that I like better than the powerbars. Yogurt with fruit for snacks. Sandwich for lunch if I cant get away. Cheese sticks and almonds for quick snacks.

Do you have access to a microwave? 9/10 times I'll bring last night's leftovers for lunch. Other times I bring a salad or sandwich with some cheese, yogurt, and/or veg & dip, etc.

I've never been a big breakfast eater so normally I'll just have a coffee or tea on my morning break if I get one, but I usually throw an emergency box of granola bars in my bag in case I get hungry or don't have time to pack a lunch.

ditto the 100 cal clif bars. I also pack an apple every day. The little ones that come in a bag are just the right size.

I would try to "sneak" a snack every two hours.

Grapes, raisins, yogurt, high-fiber oatmeal cookie, milk, banana, apple slices, chicken noodle soup, peanut butter crackers...

I work 7a-7p- I usually eat a small amount of cereal (grape-nuts, or oatmeal) w/ fruit before work- I have to force myself because I hate eating when I first wake up. Then at about 10am I eat something like yogurt (greek yogurt has more protein) or a fiber one pop tart. Then I eat lunch at about 2ish, really whenever I can fit it in. I either bring left overs from the night before or a lean cuisine and grab a salad from the cafeteria to go along with it. Sometimes before the end of the shift if I get hungry I'll grab graham crackers or a I have string cheese, something small. I also "try" to drink water throughout my shift, but I find that it is sooo hard to do. I can't hold it in and end up having to use the bathroom 10 times for every one bottle of water. :(

Thanks everyone! I'm going to try to switch things up a little... I'm starting to get bored of my yogurt, apple, & sandwiches. Sometimes I would bring my leftovers from dinner but ehhhh I don't like eating the same thing again the next day haha

I live on Lean Cuisines...low-fat/taste great. I also load up on water as much as possible while at work.

I don't eat salads while working...not enough protein or calories to keep you going, unless you are going to put a TON of chicken or tuna on it.

Whole wheat crackers or bread is important...I put as much meat on my sandwiches as possible to keep from getting hungry later.

I take my lunch to work every day and I rarely make sandwiches. Sometimes it's wheat crackers & peanut butter. Or crab salad and saltines. Sometimes it's tuna, a boiled egg, and some grapes. I love Greek salad, so I make that at least once a week, often with leftover grilled chicken or pork chops. I frequently make apples and cheese my "dessert." The main thing is, get enough protein. It will keep you from being hungry. If I eat a high carb meal I'm looking for more food in an hour.
