I'm INFJ.... I like ICU, ED, and Trauma.... oh and oncology =)
EDIT
I would like to add this thing is freakishly accurate! My other career interests were forensics and politics?int. relations lol woooo Here is what it says about INFJs
Beneath the quiet exterior, INFJs hold deep convictions about the weightier matters of life. Those who are activists -- INFJs gravitate toward such a role -- are there for the cause, not for personal glory or political power.
INFJs are champions of the oppressed and downtrodden. They often are found in the wake of an emergency, rescuing those who are in acute distress. INFJs may fantasize about getting revenge on those who victimize the defenseless. The concept of 'poetic justice' is appealing to the INFJ.
"There's something rotten in Denmark." Accurately suspicious about others' motives, INFJs are not easily led. These are the people that you can rarely fool any of the time. Though affable and sympathetic to most, INFJs are selective about their friends. Such a friendship is a symbiotic bond that transcends mere words.
INFJs have a knack for fluency in language and facility in communication. In addition, nonverbal sensitivity enables the INFJ to know and be known by others intimately.
Writing, counseling, public service and even politics are areas where INFJs frequently find their niche.

I'm INTJ. It's exact for me. I won't work where I have to be in contact with the same patient for long periods of time. I guess I don't care enough, LOL.
Like the profile will tell you I'm much more of a thinker than a doer. I'd prefer to stand back observe a problem or scenario and arrive at a solution or determine what could be done better rather than actually put my hands out do something. That probably means I'm not of the nursing mentalty...and I'm not, lol.

My personality type is INTP, but idk what speciality I would like to be in. I figure I will just let that come to me with time. I have an interest in psych, ER/trauma, peds, and maybe OR. lol;)
Im INFJ... my interests are all over the place right now, but a few are psych, anesthesia, ICU, oncology, nutrition, accupuncture... a little interesting that "I's" have responded first (=

Whoa, I see that I'm not the only 'introvert' around here. I assumed that I would be.
Interesting. What does that mean, I wonder?
Well, we are not all typical...though, there are some things that 'we' are privy to.
I tend to masquerade as an 'extrovert', myself. I've always been in professions where I've had to deal with people all up in my grill 24/7. I just recharge when I go home. I soak up the quiet and stillness.
Most would think me an 'extrovert', but, honey -- if I ruled the world --> Mandatory 1 Hour Quiet-Time!
Every. Day.
Most people talk entirely too much. About nothing, usually.
ANYWAY --
I'm an INTJ.
...and since the INFJ's are repping their personality type?
*ahem*.
What I'd like to do? I tend to think 'long-term'. So, an advanced degree is in my sights.
Bedside nursing is fine now but I'm going to get old and tired and crabby. I know that I will not always want to run around the floor arguing with docs and crazed pts.
'A' is for A-U-T-O-N-O-M-Y.
I take suggestion, well. I've just never been the type that required constant direction and 'micro-managing'. I'm used to 'sink or swim' type environments so I can hang with it.
Just show me once...I've got it.
I take copious notes.
*laugh*
ALSO? I don't like 'routine'. I like 'putting out fires'. I like doing important and fulfilling things.
I like...fluffy and pretentious titles.

Cool! I am thinking about going into nursing, but was nervous because I am technically an introvert. My type is INFP, although I have tested before as INFJ and even as an E in both (NF always remains). I was concerned that you had to be an S or an E to experience true happiness in this profession, but hopefully, at least it is my assumption given everyone else's types, that INFJs (and Ps, even) have a place in this profession. I'm really very much in between I and E, but I think I go to the introvert side more because I would rather not deal with mean people. Hopefully doing something I feel good about career-wise will diminish that feeling and I won't keep to myself as much. I do get energized when I'm around people, at least the right people. It's a crap shoot (no pun intended). But the office 9-5 world is not making me happy! I can't get ahead because I don't care. So, I hope I can find some joy in this job.
