What medical shows do you watch?

I used to watch ER, lost interest in that when Carter left, but keep up here and there to test my knowledge....I adore Greys Anatomy - they have some great cases (and good eye candy;) ) and hey, they always seem to be talking about something we're being tested on!

I also watch Trauma; Life in the ER...

Most of these of course are taped for the "spare time" hehe....:lol2:

I am now addicted to Grey's Anatomy, thanks to this thread--I went out and rented season 1 and DH and I watched 8 episodes over the weekend! ;)

Yes, I love my DVR!!!! I have Grey's Anatomy and Saved set to record all new episodes. I tell everybody that I'm on the lookout for my own George at the hospital! I used to be a very faithful ER watcher, and I think it's still set on the DVR, but it doesn't get watched very often. I also love a lot of the stuff on Discovery Health - there are some FASCINATING shows on there! I also record House, but all the nurses on there are ever used for is "clean-up on aisle 3" as House shouts out. The docs on there do all the transports, meds, blood draws, etc. It's really annoying. And how many times have you seen House jab somebody with a syringe w/out cleaning the site first? Just once I would like to see a nurse on the show who shows some competence! But it is an educational show and challenges my thinking.

I watch mostly TLC/Discovery Health shows like Trauma: Life in the ER; Dr. G, Medical Examiner; Untold Stories of the ER; The Critical Hour....

I don't really care for the medical drama shows on the networks...too much like soap operas for me...

I'm with you, Sonya! Dr G even offers us little exercises in critical thinking with the way that the cases are presented. Another Discovery Health show that I enjoy is First Days, although I haven't seen it in a while.

Grey's Anatomy- LOVE IT

Scrubs- because I * oh so wish* I could be as mouthy as most of them on the job- lol

its funny how i wanted to start a thread on med shows we watch and here u are. lol. good job u must have read my mind out the thousands of people here.

I used to watch ER too. i stopped dont know why. oh cuz i thought they were done with it. i saw repeats of it. but last season i saw the finale of the season. and man it was gooood. so i cant wait to watch it when it comes back.

I love Grey's Anatomy. funny show. its amazing that i understand some of the medicine jargon. i was like hey i know what that is. lol. other average people are like huh. and then i try to explain it to them to the best of my knowlegde. its funny when the doc explain the conditions to patients family in layman's term. then their like oh so your right. i was like YES I know im righ!!!

i'm just so happy that i can watch those medical shows and know what they are talking about. YAY GOOOOO HEALTH PROFESSIONALS!! lol Specificly nurses!! woohoo

I love Gray's...it's the best. SCRUBS too. It can be a little serious, although I just love the homor in it.

Grey's Anatomy and my favorite...House! Used to watch ER but as others have said, it got old, especially when the originals started to leave the cast.

i watch e.r., paramedics, untold stories of the e.r., medical incredible, scrubs, life in the e.r., pretty much any medical show if its on im glued to the tv!
