Hi:
I need to vent. Between work, school, clinical, family, starting an expediting business which is going to takeoff, and other general thing's my time is limited and I am feeling burnt out. I would love to do what I enjoy best which is playing World of Warcraft but when I do I feel guilty so I just don't play. World of Warcraft is a time consuming game but the people I play with are practically family because I have been playing various games with the same people since 2000 so I enjoy their company.
For some reason when school starts I put this thought in my head that I can no longer play because school has started but when I'm not playing I find myself browsing the web reading forums anyway. I am considering trying to squeeze in World of Warcraft because I am just burning myself out and I need a getaway. If I do not have something to go to I feel like I am going to be miserable and I do not want to spend another semester miserable.
Does everyone have a getaway and if so does it consume alot of your free time and if so do you feel guilty? I hope my post makes sense hehe.

If I were you, I would definitely make time for the hobbies in your life. I know your pain, school, work, kids... My hobbies are gardening, landscaping and I am teaching myself violin (I already play the flute well so it isn't too much of a challenge). I try to reserve a few hours each week to each hobby. It helps me keep my sanity... Don't feel guilty about it either--you do so much, you deserve a break. Just budget a time, stick to it, and don't exceed it and you shouldn't feel as guilty about it!

I make soap. Sometimes I sew, but that is more time consuming so I haven't been doing it very much this semester. I need to relax, otherwise I get overwhelmed.

I love computer games too! I used to play WoW for a few years but I stopped for nursing school. but I still play other games that take up less time, and I make sure to catch up on all my favorite TV shows. You HAVE to have "me time", or else you will get burnt out. I definitely need to relax and make time for doing things I enjoy.

I play video games a lot when I am feeling burnt out or needing a quick break from studying. I love gears of war 2 for relieving stress! And you should not feel bad about doing something you like (WoW) in order to preserve your sanity to pursue something you love (Nursing)!

Hmmm...Ido not have time for recreation...Full time job, two children and school are the killer. Let me hope in 4 weeks I will feel better as I will stop working and focus on preceptorship. Thank God!!

WoW huh, whenever i get a free minute I hop on Diablo 2 ha ha. Talk about archaic. Honestly though what I really like doing is just laying in bed with my gf and watching movies and sleeping! I never get to see her since our schedules are so different, I love relaxing, and I love movies so it all works out.
Oh yeah I love working out too in the form of riding my bike or fighting with said gf. We are both in martial arts so it really helps us let out some steam. Yes we use pads and face shots! 9/10 she kicks my ass

I work with leather, and use a heavy hammer.. It's amazing what a few swings of a hammer can do for stress relief...
