What kind of BAG do I carry all this stuff in?

Published

I am getting ready to start my first semester of Nursing Program and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the best way to cart around all this stuff (textbooks, clinical supplies, etc.)? Thanks:clown:

I don't think they're getting any thinner.

Unlike most of you guys, we pretty much DO have to take all our stuff to class because we never know what we're going to need.

I have an Olympia rolling shopper. It's awesome. Lot's of my classmates have them too and they hold a ton of stuff. I got mine on Amazon.

Besides that fact that roller backpacks are hideous, there distracting as well! We had this one girl who sat in the front and would sporadically come in late in hit the girls sitting in front trying to get in her seat. The books are heavy but seriously doubt that you need all of them at once

I love my rolling backpack. It has straps that I can pull out when I want to wear it as a regular backpack, but I rarely use them. I'm saving my back and shoulders and I don't care if it makes me look homeless :D

It's not the bag that makes them look homeless. It's the ratty pajama pants, and wild hair that they come to class in. But of course they're there to learn and not make a fashion statement.

I must have missed the "homeless" reference. But anyway, I love my rolling bag and I'm not worried about the distraction factor since everyone in the class has some kind of rolling contraption. Some even use rolling luggage.

for these reasons i need only a jansport backpack. you will never catch me with one of those god awful rolling backpacks. ;)

I was never going to drive a minivan, either. Meh. I have a rolling backpack and it's saving my back like whoa. If I'm going to wreck it, I plan on getting workman's comp for it. :lol2:

When I was in LVN school, I had a rolling backpack. I had trouble lugging it up and down the stairs. So I switched back to a backpack and I learned just to bring what I needed for class and keep everything else in the car trunk.

I took a tour of a community college's ADN building. They had lockers for the nursing students. I think that's a huge plus for the students. Hope I get in! :D

I use a rolling backpack. But I take the bus to school, and am there for the entire day, so I take the books I am planning on studying during my breaks, as well as my lunch, water bottle, and about 10 pounds of winter gear, lol! I'd use a much smaller bag if I could use my car as a storage spot.

I loved my rolling backpack but gave it up. In a busy college hallway people would trip over it. I figured some dipstick would sue me. So even though I have spinal arthritis I carry whatever I need on my back.

Tough bananas for me. LOL

Doesn't matter to me how my classmates look. I've got more important things to worry about, such as myself ;)

That's the kind of dogma that goes with nursing school that I can't stand. I guess I just expect more out of people that you do.
