Hello everyone. I just finished the whole Kaplan Qbank with an overall score of 60%
Here are my scores on the Sample Tests:
1- 48%
2- 46%....... a hundred (sad facies)
3- 78%
What do they signify? And the strategies, I have been using them and was able to eliminate the 2 obvious wrong choices, but I always pick the wrong remaining answer. Am I stupid or what?
I am getting nervous since my exam will be next week. Sample test 1 and 2 really slapped me in the face.. lol
Please be honest with me here guys.thanks suggestions are appreciated.
hi guys, how's everything going? just wanted to let you know i will be taking the exam in 2 days.. i just arrived here in the capital city where my test will be taking place. i had to travel early because i live 6 hours away from the testing site, and there is only one testing site here in the philippines. hehe man are the anxieties starting to kick in. would you guys recommend any last-minute review or something? any tips will be appreciated.
even though i do have the jitterbugs, i can say that i am waaay more positive now than i was the last time i took it. i had a panic attack the first time and it didn't do me good... i went blank on the test, and all the lab values that i mastered the first time went blank during the test i clicked that mouse away . now i feel what most people feel right now, "it's just another test. gotta treat it like another kaplan qbank session, hehe"

i will pray for you! just remember you worked hard to get here your first time you were just anxious...you got it this time. walk in there and believe in yourself...you worked hard to be a nurse and you just gotta take one test and get it over with!
This thread is so inspiring!! I too take my test this week, on the 27th..which ironically is my birthday (I was hoping it would be a good omen!) My QT scores are stuck in mid to high 50's and Qbank is pretty good with a few 60's. Does anyone have any tips on how to not freak out with a time limit?! When I did QT4 a couple days ago I thought I would have plenty of time to work through the ones that needed extra attention, and I panicked when I was only at question 80 and had about an hour and 15 min. left. When I do the Qbank I need to do tutor mode because I am a slow test taker in general and 50 ?'s in an hour was a little hard. I failed NCLEX the first time in August with all 265?'s and it took me about 4.5 hours to do, probably because I got so mad around question 200 that eventually I just started saying F it..big mistake!!

Thank you so much, guys:) I am so happy to have supportive people like you guys here to help me relieve my stress. Yes I will indeed do my best tomorrow. This time around I think I'm going to use deep breathing and the tapping method for those panic episodes lol.. I'll let you guys know how the test went and all. As of now, gotta get my beauty rest, tomorrow's a big day, and literally my Judgment Day lol..
Hello friends.. I'm finished wth my exam. It shut down at 100 I think. I had 12 SATA's, lots of prioritization, many patient teaching questions,1 put-in-order question,10 meds, no math, no EKG strips,no picture questions. I was calm during the test and prayed in the restroom during break. I got a few easy questions before the exam shut down
How many hours should you give before trying the PVT? I did the PVT 1 hour after the exam and got this....
"Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Pls contact your Member Board......"
It even says delivery successful. Have I passed or what? I am very nervous right now, I wish I pass :)

I started Kaplan Qbank 12-05-2011. I was able to finish all questions within one month. Since I didn't have the money to get the whole Kaplan course I used the free Kaplan QTrainers they have online. I also used Saunders, Lacharity and the Kaplan Strategies Book.. wow all of this is surreal for me.Will the pop up change if ever I do not pass? I hope it won't. This is such an accomplishment.. Thank you so much God, for keeping me calm during the test.

My scores in Kaplan were mostly in the 50-60 range. At times I would get as high as an 80,most times I would get 40s. Those scores fluctuated but it kept me going, reading the rationales and all, was my daily routine. lol
@littleone17 is there a way I can get your email to contact you regarding more in depth study plan? Did you do the study mode or time mode for the kaplan qbank.
It looks like I'm jumping into this conversation a little late. It sounds like you guys have some good study tips. Does anyone know how questions from Saunders compare to those of Kaplan? I take my test this week and have mainly been focusing on exams and practice quizzes from the disc that came in the Saunders book. I have consistently been getting 68% on the exams. Any advice will help. Thank you.
