What should I do?Scores in Kap qbank got lower..

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello everyone. I just finished the whole Kaplan Qbank with an overall score of 60%

Here are my scores on the Sample Tests:

1- 48%

2- 46%....... a hundred :( (sad facies)

3- 78%

What do they signify? And the strategies, I have been using them and was able to eliminate the 2 obvious wrong choices, but I always pick the wrong remaining answer. Am I stupid or what?

I am getting nervous since my exam will be next week. Sample test 1 and 2 really slapped me in the face.. lol

Please be honest with me here guys.thanks suggestions are appreciated.

lc1028: thanks for sharing! I'll just have to find out myself. Did yu study by reading the whole book? Or did you just do questions and read the rationals? I'm skeptical about reading the coursebook only once, but I hope that reading the rationals is enough.

ursweetpea: I'm currently using kaplan. My test is 2/23. When do you take it? I'm currently at 59% with 83% completed. Not the most convincing score =/ I still have qtrainer 6&7 to do though

Hi ursweetpea

Sorry about the late response. But yes, I finished the kaplan coursebook like a couple of week ago. I've just been doing questions and watching videos now. And no don't give up! Don't think that way..I too was getting discouraged when I first started because my qbank scores were in the 50's. But as I continued, it started to go up and even got a couple of scores in the 80's surprisingly. Just keep doing doing questions, like what everyone says, because it's so true!

UPDATE:

Just finished 100% of the qbank with the total score of 62%

Just took qtrainer 6 with a score of 69%

Ugh I thought I was bombing qtrainer 6 the whole time. Eek! I don't know if that's good cause that mean I was just guessing. Anyone else felt that way with the last 2 qtrainers?? Like I would get down to 2 answers, and felt like i'd guess from the 2. Ugh..now i'm thinking if that was all luck... =/

(Im originally misskimy2011) Just finished NCLEX today WHEWWWW :D!!!! IT was everything I expected and everything I DIDNT expect...Im not even sure about what number I was on when the screen went blue but it was around 160. I had so many SATA and Meds and delegations and who would you see first. For every 1 i felt confident, there was like 5 i really had to spend alot of time narrowing it down. Got home and about 3 hours after waiting, i did the pearson vue trick, and when i tried to register it said our records say something about already being registered and that they are unable to register at this time please contact your member board... i have done this at least 4 times today!!!!! I feel Kaplan deff prepared me to calm down and pull the questions apart and take out the wrong answer...There was alot on the test i felt unsure about , but i felt confident i knew how to figure out the answer by picking an answer that made sense or choose an answer that had the same content as the question. Ill be waiting on the official results but hoping and praying..MOSTLY praying since that is how i got this far, that the PVT trick works..You, We all can do it, dont give up, dont get discouraged nothing good comes from those two things. Fear Ends where Faith begins !! We have all made it this far, and dont let scores get you down, focus on the content and the rationales of the questions, understand it, and move on to the next test and try to do better...then.... keep doing it!!! Dont study stressed cus you prob arent retaining info. Get rest and PRAY and believe that you can do this and that you WILL be an RN. Good Luck to Everyone ...Waiting for the official results
