What does you hospital give you for Thanksgiving ?

Ours gave everyone a $10 gift certificate yesterday....for the local grocery store. And they are having a big Christmas party with band, buffet , champagne , in two weeks.

I don't know what the Christmas gift will be.

Our hospital gives those that are working a free lunch in the cafeteria. For Christmas we get a turkey or ham (my wife works there so we get both). For the last two years they have also given us a bonus, but we don't count on it.

Whoa, passing thru......I wanna know where you work! I wanna go to the champagne party with the buffet and the band!!

We get a $20 g. cert. for Xmas, free meal in the cafeteria for those working. Also, time and a half. Sometime between Thanksgiving and Xmas, they do a cafeteria-made free buffet at the hosp. For around 1200 employees, its kinda pricey I'll bet.

i am also one of the lucky ones who gets nothing. no surprise though, nurses aren't even recognized during national nurses week at my facility. oh, it's so great to be underappreciated. :roll

I get m-f off as a bonus...

I'm also concerned since when I was last at work 3-11 on Sunday, there were only 3 nurses scheduled to work today for a potential of 30 patients. Hopefully, they've recruited more help or the census is down...

If ya'll want to discuss politics there are plenty of threads to do so.

I like a good discussion as well as the next guy, but the political hate comments thrown into Thanksgiving conversation are not necessary. Nor are they a good discussion.

Time and a half. A free Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings.

$20 gift certificate from our ladies auxiliary gift shop for Christmas and a Christmas dinner/dance.

I don't think it is unusual to get a small token of apprecation from your employer. My husband always got a turkey from his boss when he drove a logging truck.
