What does you hospital give you for Thanksgiving ?

Ours gave everyone a $10 gift certificate yesterday....for the local grocery store. And they are having a big Christmas party with band, buffet , champagne , in two weeks.

I don't know what the Christmas gift will be.

We don't really get anything for Thanksgiving, other than time and one half and a free dinner the week before. I'm working at a new hospital now, so I don't know what to expect for the remainder of the holidays.

Zip. Nada. I can use 8 hours of PTO time if I want the day to be paid off.

We do get double time if working and a free meal (not too bad-it's edible.) But for Christmas-a party-though you have to pay for your guests meal! But--better than nuthin-which is what my hubby gets from Hormel.

Got the day off, the clinic was closed for the day.

at my hospital we get time and a half, (union contract) and hold on to your hats, free food for our lunch or dinner break!! Whoopeee!!!!

nada, nothing, zippo, zilch for ANY holiday. What we do get is a phone call, "Can you work today?"

we get double time for holidays-but staff is bareboned and the patients still in hospital are generally the sickest-----at christmas each unit is supposed to get "2 hours " for a party---SURE just stop everything to party!!!!!!! so we usually go out for dinner with those who can make it and it winds up to be after the holidays as all are too busy with their families activities---but it does get us out of those jan/feb let -down blues

If you worked on Thanksgiving Day you got a free meal in the cafeteria (that is if you could get down there on time). Otherwise, nothing at all.
