As nurses we are all exposed to some form of stress, the good and bad. I am curious to find out what you guys do to let off some steam and release some stress. Keep it clean!
For me I started doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It's a good workout and very therapeutic for me. There isn't any other training environment, where I can literally submit or choke a person unconscious. Well, they tap out before they pass out of courseðŸ˜

I scrapbook my kids’ childhoods, trips we have taken, special memories in my life. Occasionally I have a craft day with my friends, although, my job hinders that at times. Love to read, sit outside and relax, binge watch a show. This summer I have made an effort to be outside at some point during the day to enjoy the weather and soak up some vitamin D. ?
I hike! Nothing, and I mean nothing, grounds me as much as hiking through nature. I love that its cheap (except, I did spend a lot of money on my boots and my pack) but I can go for the whole day and literally hike 7-10 miles and feel like I hardly did anything because I get so wrapped up in the peaceful beauty of nature. I know it sounds cheesy but a good hike (with a waterfall I can climb) will refresh my soul like no other.

I spend time with my elderly dog. She's 13 years old and we like to go on long walks and snuggle on the couch. I have lots of plants to take care of and that's therapeutic for me. I read constantly and do service projects with my church ladies' group. Talk to my grandsons on the phone.
