Just wondering!
I love Excelsior. This is the *correct* website - use the wrong extension and you'll get sites that say they get you into Excelsior after you complete their course of study. *Not necessary!*
how long did it take you to complete the ec requirements and clinical?
I started July 22, 2006 and graduated July 20, 2007. I worked my a$$ off while I was a stay at home mom to my son Andrew who was 2 when I started. So I was really busy! I have been working at my new job since July 30th and was officially an RN on August 7th. The hospital I work at hired me as a Nurse Extern IV so I was making my RN pay til I passed my boards. Excelsior was awesome!! Everyone that I have been friends with while enrolled there has passed! Life is good!

I'm in it.
Given that it is a NYS college and I live and practice here I have no issues with the BON.
It will work for you IF several things are true:
1) You can study on your own, and will.
2) You read well and do not need lectures to understand the material presented in the textbooks.
3) You test well.
If any of the above conditions are false I would think hard about doing it this way.
Good luck!
