Hello Everyone,

I am just wondering what class courses will you all be taking for the Spring semester. I am taking two Introduction to the Human Body & Fundamentals of Communication.

Nursing 102, English 102, Human Development, and A&P 2.... if I make it! :chuckle

Hi,

I'll be taking A&P 2 (I got locked out of clinicals :( ). If I get accepted in the 4 year school I applied at then my class load will be significantly more...

Tony

Specializes in ICU, psych, corrections.

Nursing 159 (Clinical Nursing Across the Lifespan), Nursing 155 (Childbearing/Childrearing), and if funds allow it, Nursing 162 (Transition to Practical Nursing). That last one is an optional course that allows us to test for our LPN, then come back next Fall and continue on with our RN.

Summer will be veeeeeerrry interesting. I'm taking Microbiology in an accelerated 3 week class, along with Sociology. That should keep me pretty damn busy for those few weeks!!!! :D

I plan on taking only Anatomy and English 101. I'm taking a lighter course load than I did this semester (Chemistry, Algebra and Psychology) because it's just too hard to work full-time night-shift and have classes during the day. This semester my life has been work-school-sleep, work-school-sleep. I had very little time to study, unless we had a slow night at work.

Specializes in Adult Med-Surg, Rehab, and Ambulatory Care.

NUR214 (med/surg & psych)

Specializes in Trauma ICU, MICU/SICU.

A&P II and Nursing 101 :D

Specializes in OB, lactation.

Right now I'm registered for:

Chemical, Herbal, Nutritional Therapies (aka pharmacology)

Management & Leadership in Health Care

Caring Scholar Clinician I

Research Methods in Health Care

Population Based Care: Rural Cultural

I will probably drop the Research one until next year when I'm supposed to take it, I just added it because it's online and I could take it if I have to go back to work next semester (my husband isn't working right now b/c he broke his tib/fib/calcaneous bones in an accident.. but he is healing nicely and will hopefully be back to work in a couple months so I don't think I'll have to go that route). So anyway, I got that one before it filled up 'just in case'. I may also drop Management, not sure yet. I'm supposed to be part-time so it's a lot for me. I'm actually going nuts right now because all my classmates start clinicals in January but I won't be able to until next January the way the scheduling has worked out. I'm so eager but I also want to be able to spend most of my time with my little kids :kiss I think technically the Rural class is called clinical but from what I gather it's been an awful class and not clinical at all (i.e. they meet at places in the community, like an overheated church building, and discuss the millions of papers and projects they are assigned). I heard they are supposed to be changing it for next year and it makes me wonder if I should wait until then!!

PS -can you go back and put things in bold after you've already written it on this board? Like just highlight it and bold it? I never think about it until I'm done writing the post

I'm just finishing some pre-reqs, but I'll be taking Healthy Lifestyles, an intro writing class (yes, even though I already have a bachelor's degree in another field, I'm required to take this class - strange!), and Human Development. And I work full-time, am married, have a 2-year-old daughter, and I'll be having a second child in the middle of the semester. If I take all these classes now, then I'll have an EXCELLENT shot at getting admitted to the nursing program, so I'm going for it. Wish me luck!!!

Specializes in CICu, ICU, med-surg.

Mental health nursing, Nursing the Adult Family (AKA Med Surg nursing), Nursing the Aging Family (AKA Geriatrics), and Research Methods.

Almost done with my first semester. Four more to go...

A&P II and Nutrition.

I have already taken all the non-nursing and science classes. I am so excited to start the actual nursing program!
