I know, silly question :) But I'm starting school this Fall and will be buying my first stethoscope. I wanted to get a fun color, and to my knowledge, our school doesn't specify that we get black. Who has a crazy/fun color?
I have an dark orange sprague. a bright orange sprague, an bright orange littman, a royal blue littman, a red littman--I had to order new tubing since true red only comes on peds or infant littmans but I could order replacement red tubing, so I did. I also have a bright green, a pink, a seabreeze, and navy sprague.....YES i know i need help......I also got a sewing machine for Christmas so I have been making covers---I change them each day just as I do my scrubs and I make sure they dont touch the pts if at all possible....to avoid germs....
Just curios, does anyone else feel frustrated by the fact that the chest pieces on some are so heavy -compared to the binaurals-and they slip off your neck all the time? I have an older litewt littman in royal blue that looks like the classic littman chestpieces, not the oval new ones and I love it....but I don't like the colors of the new litewt ones since they are all pastel and will show ink etc.....but as for my question DO the new litewt ones slip off your neck too or are the chestpiece and binaurals even in weight????
I have an orange Littman. I have only seen one other person with an orange one, and we both laughed. My stethoscope always comes back to me - I have a habit of putting it on the rails in the hallway when I have to go into an isolation room, and everyone knows it is mine.
I have the orange Littman as well! I really like it and I have NOT seen another!
