What color is your stethoscope tubing?

Published

I know, silly question :) But I'm starting school this Fall and will be buying my first stethoscope. I wanted to get a fun color, and to my knowledge, our school doesn't specify that we get black. Who has a crazy/fun color?

I have 3 stethoscopes. The one issued to me by my former school is royal blue and single-tubed. I own a double-tubed black steth as well as a transparent single-tubed baby blue steth.

Mine is a Carribean Blue Littman.

I used to have this one in pink. Now I have a Littman Infant in Carribean: http://www.allheart.com/2113-17.html

I use covers, too. It keeps the tubing from picking up skin oils and a permanent bend from my neck. I actually don't like having "stuff" around my neck, so I put it down when I can, but if I'm working Mother/Baby, I need it w/me.

I hate Spragues--too heavy!! That cheap stethescope works just fine! I'm not a cardiologist, after all, but I can hear a murmur w/the cheap one.

I have a seafoam green Littman Classic S.E. II. The color is slightly different from the picture [i got it from allheart.com] but it's still pretty.:)

Navy Littman Cardiology...

I'm a little HOH and couldn't hear with my first choice...an Ultrascope :(

I'm seriously considering the electronic Littman...OR a hearing aid :lol2:

Speaking of.....how does it work wearing a hearing aid and using a stethoscope?? Would you have to take out the hearing aid? Anybody know?

Oh and I had a teal one at one time.......

mine is a cheap neon orange and a red that also looks like a neon one (i don't know if it is, it was only given to me by my cousin)that i bought when my stet became brittle so i replaced it.

I started with Fuschia in nursing school then went to a Burgandy Littman. I now have a Black Littman.

I retired that royal blue Littman when I graduated and started working in the NICU.

This is the head of the scope I use now, in pediatric size with matching lavender tubing...

Still using the royal blue Littman my BIL got me for graduation. Works great!

I have a purple littman.

I have a ceil blue Litmann. But now I really want to get the new pink one that they have in support of breast cancer.
