I came across this is little story today, it's not breaking news. I suspect that a member of the housekeeping staff knows something about the bomb threat that required the sweep for weapons.

QuoteAccording to police in Secaucus, the bomb threat — which later was determined to be bogus — was called in to Hudson Regional Hospital on July 18. During a search, bomb detection dogs led investigators to an unlocked office closet containing dozens of firearms.
Among the weapons were 11 handguns and 27 rifles or shotguns, according to police. The closet also contained a .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity magazine that was determined to be an assault rifle, and a 14-round high-capacity handgun magazine.
The arrested the guy the next day.
What the heck do you think this guy was doing? It sounds very ominous that he was keeping those weapons there.

I was in 2nd grade when Kennedy assassinated --still remember nuns weeping in the hallway and overhead announcement; in 10th grade when Kent State shootings occurred-imprint of KS shooting photo still in my mind. One thing to rally and protest, quite another to occupy private spaces and buildings when asked to leave. Hard way to learn"consequences of one's action" by being expelled from college with just 2 weeks left in a semester, especially if Senior year. My 30+yo sons said the best lesson I taught them was "consequences of actions" as school age children: refusing to drive to amusement park when they got our of their car seat one block after leaving home along with numerous "time outs" for misbehavior. Last night it was my 2 foster dogs who learned that lesson: both started barking 30min before dinner time (my doxie only barks outside to animals during our walk; 2nd barky terrier is diabetic on a schedule) so I got busy folding laundry. Dinner 10min past 8P.

I would never support the idea of guns being used. When people protest against all of Israel, they are protesting against the protesters in Israel. It's not their choice where Columbia wishes to invest and never should be because looks what happens. If they really want to make a point of their virtue, they would just transfer to another school. I borrowed, worked and paid my own way through and would be mad as hell if I couldn't get to a main campus class.
I get that people feel uncomfortable with protest. Police should absolutely crack down upon the agitators who attend protests with the purpose of creating conflict. Freedom of speech and our right to protest is always messy. War is very motivating for students. The appearance of genocidal cruelty is even more motivating.
These students can't get a break in their educational endeavors.

And I don't recall "elevating" a man to anything.
Really? He has several law cases against him so he is being held to the rule if law. If that's what you want to call it.
Of course his lawyers are saying that. They are his defense.
Maybe it's you who doesn't know. A figure of speech isn't normally intended to misrepresent reality.
You don't remember voting for Trump and "elevating" him to the presidency? That is an actual figure of speech, odd that you didn't recognize it after questioning someone else's ability to recognize a figure of speech.
You might of had someone convinced that you actually believe that Trump is appropriately being held to the rule of law until you shared that you don't necessarily want to call it the rule of law.
Of course they are saying the guy who tried to overturn election results should have blanket immunity that would even include political assassination, Trump wants that power. Bill Barr and other members of Team Trump have told us that Trump talks about killing people. Usually, lawyers bring legal arguments to court, not emotional arguments.
Trump supporters just don't want to say no to Trump. Maybe the well known supporters don't want to be publicly humiliated by the bully himself or threatened by the violent fringe of his cult. It's a real phenomenon.

I was just talking about Charlie Sykes and there he is in this group working for the health of our republic. Thanks for sharing.
Charlie Sykes is a regular on MSNBC Morning Joe and Dateline White House almost daily -- love to hear this comments.
Example -- later half discussion
Charlie Sykes: Trump 2.0 would be exponentially worse than Trump 1.0

Morning Joe clips are sometimes available on YouTube, the network keeps their content pretty tightly held. The other is Nicole Wallace's show, right? I've watched that on YouTube, I don't think I've seen Sykes on there.
https://www.msnbc.com/morning-joe some content. One of the shows I record daily along with CNN This Morning with Kasie Hunt , Maine Cabin Masters and Restoring Galveston.

Oh yeah, the rediculous hypothetical games...
Barr also said people take Trump too literally, and that he doesn't believe he would carry out those things. Trump was blowing off steam, he said.

Lawyers? What kind of lawyers take on Trump as a client? He's already accusing one of them of not being "aggressive" enough. He's just setting up the reaon not to pay him. As for SCOTUS, I doubt they have a majority of judges with enough integrity to uphold the rule of law. Look at the games they are playing now to avoid a decision before the election when they have made other major judgements in days.
