I came across this is little story today, it's not breaking news. I suspect that a member of the housekeeping staff knows something about the bomb threat that required the sweep for weapons.

QuoteAccording to police in Secaucus, the bomb threat — which later was determined to be bogus — was called in to Hudson Regional Hospital on July 18. During a search, bomb detection dogs led investigators to an unlocked office closet containing dozens of firearms.
Among the weapons were 11 handguns and 27 rifles or shotguns, according to police. The closet also contained a .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity magazine that was determined to be an assault rifle, and a 14-round high-capacity handgun magazine.
The arrested the guy the next day.
What the heck do you think this guy was doing? It sounds very ominous that he was keeping those weapons there.

It's crazy that this very extreme right wing religious zealot is next in line for the presidency and the House democrats will maintain that, because he compromised with them once.

I think at this point a moderate won't get in the speaker's seat, so rescuing him is their best chance at future deals and yes to thank him for this deal. By no means will it be an endorsement of him or his ideas. Likely it will hurt him further as he's seen as being rescued by the Democrats. Crazy times.
The same party that doesn't want to invite Biden to future SOTU addresses because of division is like this. Pot meet kettle.
Maybe our social media fixation will chill after she made this public announcement. I know a woman who went in to have abdominal surgery for a straightforward diagnosis to discover post operatively that she had a serious cancer that required a second surgery right away and then chemo. I can't imagine having to deal with social media nonsense at the same time.

It's really poignant that the crazy caucus seems to be angry that the SOTH wouldn't let them shut down the government. Those representatives don't value our government very much.

I wish her and her family well.
The media fixation on the British Royals certainly isn't going to chill. It's been going on long before social media. Look at what happened to Diana. That said, it certainly didn't help matters when she (or her PR people) posted a photo shopped picture. I know she/they meant well and it was meant to be reassuring but really what were they thinking?
Cancer is life changing from the minute you hear the word. Yesterday one of my patients had been through chemo, radiation and then surgery resulting in a colostomy for three months. I took care of him after he had his colostomy reversed. He was very happy and had a lot of family support. Some people come out the other end with PTSD especially waiting that arbitrary five years before they pronounce a cure.

Quote"John Oxendine, as the former state-wide insurance commissioner, knew the importance of honest dealings between doctors and insurance companies," said U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Buchanan. "But for personal profit he willfully conspired with a physician to order hundreds of unnecessary lab tests, costing hundreds of thousands of dollars. He will now be held accountable for violating the public's trust."
Another one.
Both of my senators voted for this bill. How about yours?

Both of mine voted for it. It is disappointing that no aid was included for Ukraine.

Putin has too many republican legislators believing and spreading his propaganda. Some of them are sympathetic with efforts to undermine our free and fair elections. The GOP is a Trojan horse.

The things he wants require that our congress pass bipartisan legislation, the very thing that Trump and Republicans don't want.

Both of my Senators did not cross the aisle, I'm in Florida duh. It is interesting to see some ultra conservatives like Tom Cotton, Katie Britt and John Cornyn cross the aisle. Senators like McConnell and Graham that have a lot of experience in deal making crossed the aisle which doesn't surprise me.
