I came across this is little story today, it's not breaking news. I suspect that a member of the housekeeping staff knows something about the bomb threat that required the sweep for weapons.

QuoteAccording to police in Secaucus, the bomb threat — which later was determined to be bogus — was called in to Hudson Regional Hospital on July 18. During a search, bomb detection dogs led investigators to an unlocked office closet containing dozens of firearms.
Among the weapons were 11 handguns and 27 rifles or shotguns, according to police. The closet also contained a .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity magazine that was determined to be an assault rifle, and a 14-round high-capacity handgun magazine.
The arrested the guy the next day.
What the heck do you think this guy was doing? It sounds very ominous that he was keeping those weapons there.

Migrants Still Not Leaving NYC Hotel, Demand Free Stays at 'Vacant Luxury Apartments' on Billionaires Row

Once again Trump proven right. This time about the quality of people coming into this country. Democrats just love a welfare rat.

I find this absolutely disgusting that these illegal immigrants are so ungrateful for what we have already done for them. Maybe they could go and find their own accommodations if they don't like the free one (for them, of course we are all paying for it) that has just been handed to them. How can people just be allowed to cross illegal, get free services and after a few days/weeks start complaining!! These are not the same type of immigrants that used to come, and even with no free services, appreciated the fact that they were here for the "opportunity". (Key word opportunity!, not hand outs).
And how is letting millions more into the Country going to help poor communities including those of POC, not equity for them, they will be the most hurt by this. And, why does the government spend our money on housing millions of new illegal border crossers (instead of doing their job and closing the border) while many Americans including veterans who have fought battles for our Freedoms lie homeless in the streets, not equity for them either.

Thanks for pointing out that a bill proposed 2 years ago, failed. Republicans are not the majority party so I don't think you have much to worry about.

I don't see any where in the article that the people in question are illegal immigrants. You say they should find accommodations, well, they did by camping on the street. The article cites an activist is demanding rooms in luxury apartments, not the migrants. And how do you know they don't just want work? What do you mean they are not the same type of immigrants who used to come? Laborers have been coming to the US for years to help with farm work.

There is more than 1 article in which to obtain info.
https://news.Yahoo.com/illegal-migrants-refuse-leave-nyc-195334940.html
"A group of illegal migrants, who entered into the U.S. through the southern border, are refusing to leave their free NYC hotel rooms for a migrant shelter in Brooklyn, New York, sleeping in the street to protest.
The migrants were initially placed at the Watson Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, but their schedule for relocation to a new migrant relief center, the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, caused uproar late Sunday night.
While some migrants left for the new shelter, many refused to vacate the Hell's Kitchen hotel and rallied outside the building alongside migrant activists. The migrants who were noncompliant in the city's relocation spent the night outside the hotel and were seen holding their ground into Monday morning.”
So yes the "migrant activist" camped outside the hotel to protest their accommodations, and to "hold their ground".
I don't know that at some point whether they will work or not and I didn't say that they wouldn't. I said they come and are immediately handed free services and IMO should be grateful and not protesting those free services (paid for by we the people). Seems to me if I went to another country illegally and said country gave me free services I should, and would, be grateful to the government and the people who paid for it. Not whining, complaining and holding my ground, bc they want to move me somewhere else free to me.
But I guess that is just me.
People (including some of you here) always compare the immigrants who came through Ellis Island to todays immigrants when anyone complains about immigration. There is no comparison. People back then were checked for any health problems, were not given freebies, had to have someone/somewhere to go, and knew and had no problem with making their own way. Not at all like todays immigrants whether ungrateful or not.

They are still pushing for reparations.

There seems to be a trend of economic migration. It's hard to see that some of these people are coming for any another reason that money. The sense of entitlement isn't common among those who are coming for a better life. True asylum seekers are greatful to just step on this land and usually do not complain.
I agree that the Biden administration at least has set the mood that anyone can come here. Not to mention the total lack of boarder control. Make no mistake, this is known in other countries. The message is the US will let you in through lack of boarder enforcement.

You don't need 20 million + illegals doing farm work. How come I don't see them harvesting corn, wheat, or soybeans out in the fields if they do all this farm work?
We have plenty of people working on farms in this area, some documented, some not. They also work in lumber mills and fish processing. Maybe you don't know where to look. When is the last time you were in a milking parlor, or pruning and tying raspberry canes? Mushrooms are grown indoors, so not real obvious from the street.

It seems to me that it's pretty unlikely that the pressure can be significantly reduced anytime soon. As whole ecosystems begin to collapse, people begin to starve. There are roughly 8 billion people alive. Where are they going to go?

Good point. However starving people do not tend to complain about food and accommodations. Nor do they have designer clothes and a IPhone.
I think there are some that take advantage when they are not starving or otherwise poor. Some see it as a good way to increase their wealth, not get out of poverty. Then take the resources away from people who really need it.
Perhaps some of the money spent can be allocated to programs that help people in poverty come out of poverty while in their native country? This may help prevent the US from becoming the same type of dire economy as the countries they came from.

What's sad is all the problems created by Democrats, the denial of freedoms by the Democrats, yet you see nothing. No different than the German people did in the 1930s.
