Greetings my fellow Nurses, I am aiming to begin WGU RN-BSN in Sept. Anyone else? Any current WGU students or Alum want to share any words of wisdom??
For all those who plan on completing the program in 6 months, make sure your Student Mentor puts C228 (Community & Population Health) in your first term so you can complete it right away. The second part to this course (C229) is the practicum and cannot be taken until after C228 is complete. That's why it's difficult to finish everything in 6 months. 2 terms is more realistic. Remember, you don't have to go 2 FULL terms. If you start a 2nd term, and finish in 2 months, then you graduate! Also, if you have less than 12 CU's in your 2nd term, you can ask the Bursar's office for a tuition adjustment. They will then only charge you for the CU's you are taking.
Thanks for the info :)
So I received a call now that everything is finished and now my start date is pushed back till Oct 1 because the Sept 1 filled up while we were waiting for the freaking intake interview! Oh well, guess that means I just have to pushed harder to make sure I get finished by my goal of March.
Yup since mine was on Friday, she said they had just filled up the day before. Apparently so that they have enough mentors to follow through the program they only have so many people starting each term. Sadly, I started this process in July and had completed all of my parts prior to even Aug 1st. I am on the wait list now for Sept but planning for October just the same. Can only be positive right, I mean I have put this thing off myself a few time, so it'll be the right time when it happens.Filled up? I didn't realize there was a limit? I had my intake interview on Monday and my enrollment counselor made no mention of filling up.It's good that you have such a positive attitude though!
CLEP stands for the College Level Examination Program.what's a CLEP transcript?
Instead of taking full semester coursework in Sociology, English, Algebra, and other specified subjects, a person can pay $80 for a chance to demonstrate competency in the topic by passing the standardized CLEP test for that particular subject.
Once you pass, your passing scores are recorded on a special CLEP transcript and are accepted by thousands of colleges and universities for transfer college credits.
