I did a LOT of research and decided that this school would be my best bet, but now I am seriously doubting them. They never get back to me.
I contacted them back in December and recieved an email from an advisor or admissions counselor. I told her I was planning to head back to school in June but I would like to start the process in April, and that I work nights so not to call my home before 4. That was completely disreagarded, I saw lots of missed calls from while I was asleep., even though I reminded by email. I have now sent her a few emails that I am ready to get the application started with no response. Then I started from scratch hoping to get someone else, as I can only assume she doesnt work there anymore. I re filled out a new interest form, and have gotten no response on over 2 weeks. I am going to go ahead and just call them, but the lack of response from them with so many contacts is making me nervous. And how they ignored my needs was also concerning.
Any current or previous students have problems with communication?
If you ahd any issues, were they repsonsive?
For an online school, I expect communication to be pretty far up there on importance.

I had problems with communicating with them that somewhat mirrored your problems. The incessant emails/phone calls added to other matters, including not a word after a certain point, that caused me to cross this school off my radar. It may work for some, but others seem to have the misfortune of dealing with 'unorganized' advisors.

I had issues with my enrollment councilor not returning my calls etc. so after becoming increasingly frustrated, I called the school and asked to have a new one! I have had no issues since and I hope that as soon as I clep this last class and pay my tuition, I will officially working on my BSN with WGU!!

I'm sorry to hear that. My enrollment advisor was great right off the bat. Good luck to you!

The enrollment counselor to whom I was assigned was responsive. She called whenever she said she would be calling, not a minute early or late.
I'm sorry you're having a negative experience. I loved WGU because it was self-paced and the most affordable option I found. It cost me $5,800 to complete 34 credits in 10 months. I would have paid $15,000+ had I chosen Excelsior, Grand Canyon, ISU, UT Arlington, Chamberlain, Capella, or other programs.

I also never had any problems with communication with WGU. My enrollment counselor always called when he said he would and my student mentor did as well. I finished the program in just under a year and am so happy that I did it. Good luck to you!

I had that problem initially as well. It was really strange. It took me forever to establish contact to where I could move forward. I could not reach anyone who would help me. My admissions POC would not respond to phone calls or email. In frustration I finally started googleing to find the dean of the nursing program and sent an email to the dean. That seemed to fix the problem and since then the interaction experience with WGU has been outstanding. They will assign you a mentor that stays in constant contact. I highly recommend the program.
I am going to give a call tomorrow, but I am now more nervous about commiting than I had been. It really adds an element of uncertainty. Hopefully I ahvent missed any deadlines.

I really like the self paced part. I do better that way. I hate classes where they read you the slides, Id much rather do my own thing. I also like that its up to me how fast or slow it goes. I of course, hope to move fast, but we shall see.
Left a voicemail this morning, havent heard back.
