I just submitted my application and wanted to start a thread for this year's application cycle. Through this thread we can lend each other advice, support, updates, and/or questions!
A little about me... I recently completed my undergraduate studies and realized nursing was my true passion. I went from pre-med --> pre-dental --> pre-PA and now I'm here! I'm super excited to have applied because I feel life I've finally found what I want to do with myself. I also barely found out that accelerated Master's programs in Nursing exist.
I read last year's thread and it said that people receive an email saying their "application has been forwarded to the admissions department" or something like that. Did anyone who applied already receive this email yet?
Cheers.

Is it a group interview? Where do we meet on campus?
Congrats!! It’s somewhat of a group interview, in that during lunch you’ll sit and mingle with a staff member, current student and 2-3 other candidates. It’s a lax sort of conversation, but an interview nonetheless. If you dont speak up they might ask you to come back for a formal interview. Note that part of the day also consists of a writing exercise during which you’ll submit a sample.
Meet at the nursing building. The email or your application portal should have the exact address, I forget which.
If you get to, can you please ask current students about the facebook group? Id really like to know how to contact them to buy their used books and to have a place where we can ask questions. According to previous forums, current students create the FB group for incoming cohort.
Thanks and good luck!
Hi everyone! To the students that went through an interview, I wanted to know if they asked you all behavioral based questions. For example..."Tell me about a time when you had a difficult customer?" I finally received an invite for an interview, and I am so so so nervous. I REALLY want to go to WesternU. If anyone can give me any tips for the interview I would so much appreciate it.

Hello! @FutureNurse150 I'm happy to hear you like WesternU, and congratulations on your invitation to interview! I interviewed last year and am not positive if the questions/process are exactly the same, but the post on Feb 12 from Richforbroke nailed it.
Tips: prepare some stories you are ready to discuss that demonstrates your character (leadership/time or conflict management/etc.) and know why you want to be a nurse. Google some nursing interview questions and print them out - ask a friend to interview you with them.
One other thing that helped me was knowing that the faculty is very kind and welcoming. They just want to gauge if you are a good fit, they don't want to intimidate you in the least. I hope this response is in time to help!

@cezeuka @justin123560 Based on the financial aid info session, 88k is the estimated cost including budgeted items/estimated costs and student loan fees for the first year only. The cost of the program is likely to be the same cost as its 3-year program because the number of units does not change even though the new cohort will start as a 2-year program. It'll be around 100k for the whole program.
