hi! I just got an email from UCI inviting me to interview! I'm super surprised because I thought the official notification day was back on March 11 but really grateful to be selected for an interview. Just giving everyone a heads up that maybe they're still sending out invites ?

To those who who attended EAOD and have been admitted, how did you all decide on Western as opposed to other programs? I having a tough time deciding... ?

Thank you for this! I'm in the same dilemma and will need to do a little soul searching on my end too. The name and prestige of Columbia was really appealing to me in the beginning, but I've also been hearing mixed reviews about the program. I'm considering another school as well but both are relatively the same costs, so I'm looking at the quality of the education and faculty and how fits with me and my career outlook. Having a cohort of 200+ as opposed to 60-70 in other programs sounds daunting -- i'm not sure how supportive the faculty and admin are to students as well as support between students. I wish I was able to attend visiting day and get a feel for the environment, but I live out of state and don't have the means to travel right now. Decisions are coming up quick, and I'm super nervous about my ultimate choice!!

To those of you who are choosing Columbia over other schools, how did you decide? Additionally, to current students, what are your thoughts about the program having gone through a semester or two? Thanks! ?

I have my interview scheduled for Feb 15 since I'll be coming out of state! Does anyone have an idea/suggestions of appropriate interview attire (i.e. footwear and outerwear)? Coming from southern California, I'm worried about the cold and possible snow during that time and am not sure how to appropriately dress. Thanks!
