Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I just submitted my application and wanted to start a thread for this year's application cycle. Through this thread we can lend each other advice, support, updates, and/or questions!

A little about me... I recently completed my undergraduate studies and realized nursing was my true passion. I went from pre-med --> pre-dental --> pre-PA and now I'm here! I'm super excited to have applied because I feel life I've finally found what I want to do with myself. I also barely found out that accelerated Master's programs in Nursing exist.

I read last year's thread and it said that people receive an email saying their "application has been forwarded to the admissions department" or something like that. Did anyone who applied already receive this email yet?

Cheers.

Hi everyone!

I submitted my application 10/10/18 and on 10/19/18 I got an email saying my application was forwarded to the committee for review. I am so nervous lol I am currently working as a MA I have a little more than 2 years of full time experience so a total of close to 4,000 hours. I have my BS in Biology my gpa is not that great total 3.1 and my last 60 units its a 3.6. Im on the edge of my seat waiting for an interview email even though I've heard they don't go out until end of November usually. Just want to say Good luck to everyone! Gonna follow this feed for any updates lol

I have a similar GPA to you.. did you get in the program? I am scared that I won't get in. I am trying to get as much insight as I can before applying.

I just got an interview. Has anyone been to one/do you know what it is like? I graduated last year with a BS in Kinesiology. I have a lot of volunteer and leadership experience from church and I am working as a CNA. My ending GPA was a 3.45. I’m SUPER NERVOUS and excited!!??

I work as a NA at saddleback doing nights. I plan on quitting or asking to work one shift max. Hospitals seems to be really flexible with students!
