I'll be graduating from LVN school in November and want to go on to an LVN-RN program. I haven't done any RN pre-requisites and, at age 50, don't want to take the time to do so... so I'm looking for a program with "built in" pre-reqs. I'm curious about West Coast University but can't find much info about it. Please tell me what you know about it... thanks!
I just talked to a UCLA admission rep also for their MSN program. They said they accept everything from west coast except for the ADN program. I hope my question wasn't misunderstood.
What other loans, grants and scholarships has anyone gotten to use towards their tuition for west coast university? I am hoping to take the hesi exam soon to get admitted in november and I am looking everywhere for any financial aid.
Hi everyone! This message is mainly for the "nurses" alumni of WCU :). Two questions, one is, I took Micro, Ana, and Physio already and it's been 2 years so I don't have to take them again at WCU but how much in depth are they going to test on those subjects so I know how much I should refresh my knowledge on those AND which class should I put most my time into? The last question is besides reviewing those 3 classes is there anything else that you guys can think of that would be good review to best prepare me to start in 5 months? Do you remember thinking "wow I wish I would have known this better before I started" ??? I'm just trying to go in as prepared as I can now while I don't have the pressure and the constant new information being thrown at me. Thanks for your help, it's great to see that people not forgetting where they came from and willing to help other people out! Thanks so much again!
Dose anyone know if West coast accepts classes taken threw SCU integrated science program ?
Hello everyboty!
I'm an ADN student at WCU. They accepted my prereqs from other country (should be within 5 years), I had to take only English, Speech, & Biochem. My tuition droped to $55k. Still a lot, but no waiting list :). One of the instructors told me that WCU closes LVN to RN program at all 3 campuses in November.

Don't you think if you're going to mention what an instructor said, you should say "why"? I will call the school myself to ask if this is true.

I am a prospective student at WCU Ontario and have been doing a lot of research because the accredidation made me nervous. I called Loma Linda University to see if they recognize WCU's BSN and they DO. Once I get my BSN, I can go there to get my master's and take their NP program. That really impressed me and calmed my apprehension regarding WCU being recognized by other colleges.
