West Coast University?

Published

I'll be graduating from LVN school in November and want to go on to an LVN-RN program. I haven't done any RN pre-requisites and, at age 50, don't want to take the time to do so... so I'm looking for a program with "built in" pre-reqs. I'm curious about West Coast University but can't find much info about it. Please tell me what you know about it... thanks!

hope you get this in time..........good luck!!!

Good luck! I just started the program - am just on week 6 and have really enjoyed it thus far!

hi calstudent1967,

where did you start, i mean what term??? did you have all your pre-req's done or are you taking them with wcu??? im trying to get my fa taken care of so i can start this june.

I started the April 12 term (or was it 11?) So I am in my first term. I am doing my BSN-RN. I only have a few of the pre-req's done. The smart thing would be to do all your pre-requs at the Jr College level if you have california res. - and it would reduce the cost by a ton. I am older (41) and did not want to wait...

Best of luck to you! I have really enjoyed it thus far.

thanks, and the same to you. i am an lvn so i am doing the adn program.

The first 9 months or so you will be mixed with BSN students as many of the classes we have to take are the same. I have a larger majority of ADN program people in my anatomy lab.

vespa-gurl,

i was wondering if you tested out of the english or bio chem yet??? i went in and provided my transcripts and they arent taking my eng, sph, and soc because i took them in 2003. :crying2::down: i want to try to test out of the sph and eng, but im afraid to. i was wondering if you had tried it and what it was like.

if there is anyone else who reads this and has any information on the testing out process please help!!!!!:bowingpurthis is one of the most frustrating things i have been through thus far. idk why the arent like the other school on the ge. they only require the sciences be 5 years old.....:banghead:. anywhoo, any info that anybody has is greatly appreciated. thanks again guys, and good luck to all on their journey to be nurses!!!

thanks for the reply karmarene, i just got home from wcu right now. ur right, it was basic stuff & i did read the reviewr, tho i think i wouldve been able to do it without reading the reviewer.

to anyone who's starting on june.. which campus are you going? im starting on june too at the LA campus.

I can only respond to the move-yes, they are moving to a North Hollywood campus. Don't know the exact date but will not share a building like they do now.

Has anyone heard any news of the move? Curious about it, I'm seriously considering the school now if they move into the valley. Even if they don't, I'd still drive to LA.

they are moving about 10mins away to an office in noho in september. the date isnt being told yet. just september....

im looking to start the june class as well.

Hmm, do you mean, the WC will have an office ONLY in NH? Or will the school re-locate their? How do you know this info? KarmaRene, have you been accepted already? If so, do you then have the choice when to start?

ks mommy nurse,

i have been accepted and everything is just about set for me to start june 22nd. i was told by a rep of wcu that there were moving the school to nh. they will no longer be above acc on rosewood and vermont. that will be just for acc students. so, the whole school is relocating to nh, yes.
