greetings to all my friends in this nice forum...! we just arrived here since 15th jan after visiting my brother in new york for few days...the city welcomed us with plenty of sunshine... everything is done so quickly! within 3 weeks of stay here, we got our ss no, followed by permanent residence card, enrolled our 3 kids in schools, i passed the driving licensure exam, we also got a new van and applied for credit cards (although we don't have yet a credit score). the bank is affiliated to hospital, & they are really very supportive to nurses & their dependants. i started my work & orientation in or only this week. we rent in one apartment, only yesterday night i installed my internet and homephone... i might transfer to az forum later... thanks anyway to your help & encouragement... as i always say eversince

Welcome to the US
Hope it brings you all that you had hoped.
Stand back and wait for the summer to come as it is very very warm there.
I live in the Desert in Socal and its not to bad but we still have about 30 to 50 days in summer where the temp does't go down below 100f thats 38c and gets up to 116f.
But welcome to a land that speaks the same but is very different and don't feel to bad when people don't have an idea here your from.
I keep them happy because I am Scottish by saying "Donkey" and "Fat Bas!#rd" from Shriek and Austin Powers.
Don't need to wish you luck as sure you will have a blast
Best Wishes
