Hello everyone and anyone...I failed my RN NCLEX two days ago and felt.horrible. I used UWorld and Saunders and what I found out it. For me at least if you don't have your core content down and is strong in it you can answer a thousand questions and you still won't pass! I decided to try NCSBN RN review program. That's what my friend nursing school program used. Has anyone tried it?

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't pass. I have no experience with the NCSBN RN review. But I would suggest that you return to the resources you already have, follow your own advice about content, prepare for your second test.
Lots of students use Saunders. I personally used Kaplan. Go back a look over those resources and ask yourself why you chose a certain answer when the resources indicate something different. What key piece of information are you missing? The answer to that will lead you to success on your next attempt.
Good luck to you!

I am a repeat test taker too. I definitely agree with what you said. I took mine at August all the way to 130 questions. I was absolutely helpless during the exam because alot of the things were stuff I didn't completely understand. I only used UWorld to study but I think that simply wasn't enough for me. I ended up using Hurst and started from the beginning. I watched all their videos under core content, from cardiac to GI. I also would suggest learning test taking strategies. Their are so many out there and it was super helpful, that when I took the NCLEX the next time even if the topic was unfamiliar I could tell which ones just sounded right.
What I would suggest is going back to the way you know you studied in school that was efficient. For me it was rewriting and saying outloud everything I learned.
I wish the best of luck to you! I know you'll pass the next one!
Wow thank you this has been very helpful

Sorry you didn't pass the first time. I can only tell you what I did and best of all it was free! Went to library and checked out all the NCLEX study books and did all the questions. I know that sounds simple but after you have done so many you start to think like the NCLEX. I don't know how it happens but it just clicked in my brain eventually. Let me say I took 3 months and 4-6 hours a day. I also had a study buddy session with a classmate once a week during that time. I know it's a bit extreme to take that long but we both passed the first time me at 75, her at 90. Best to you!

I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t pass. I’m not familiar with the NCBSN review however I used UWorld and Mark Klimex to study for the NCLEX. I did all the u world questions and Mark Klimex. Also there’s the pocket prep app with about 900 questions. It also helped a lot. Please make sure to read all the rationales for every single question. The more you do questions the better you get at answering them. All the best and God bless you.

One thing I haven’t heard mentioned - your school gets a report (in general terms) of the areas you failed in. My school encouraged anyone who didn’t pass to contact them, so that report could be reviewed & they could help with a focused study plan.
Trying to review everything you learned in school would be an overwhelming task - especially after a failure that might well tweak your psyche.

What worked for me was UWorld and Mike Klimeks recordings along side his notes Which I used to write extra notes. I also read his blue book and look thru his yellow one the night before. Just listening to Mike Klimek helped improved my score on UWorld. I found his books on pdf format for free online.
