sorry for the lateness! i had surgery friday & developed some complications over the weekend, but i am back to normal now.

my update: 170/170/125 (starting weight/current weight/goal weight)

my husband & i cleaned out our pantry tonight. we threw out all the junk food. i am so embarrassed about my weight. i can't fit into any of my jeans. the only pants i can wear are my scrubs and sweat pants. i absolutely refuse to buy any larger sizes.

how is everyone else doing? how was your weekend and your new year's day? i hope everyone else has had a more productive week than i did.

best wishes!

Hello rn2b_moni

I am also starting my diet today. I am 143lbs and my goal is 125 lbs. I joined the gym and I am really eager to start loosing weight. :)

I am so happy to be back OP(on program). I gained several pounds from Thanksgiving to Christmas but my weight is starting to get back down to where it was before Thanksgiving(165). My stats are 5'7" 179/168/147. My original weight a couple of years back was 235! So Im happy with my progress and I hope to make goal by late spring, early summer. Im easing back into the program this week. Im counting points but they are still a little over my target. Im just being aware and cutting back the amount I have been eating lately. Next week Ill be back full force.

I teach aerobics part time and want to get a job in a gym so that is extra motivation to look my best. My next 2 minigoals are 165 and 159(under 160!). I hope to make both by Valentines day but it will be a stretch!:)

Hello! I just went to my WW meeting last night & I lost 1.25 lbs since last week! WOOT! :D Very pleased, since over the holidays I gained 2 lbs. :imbar

I did online WW for 3 months last year (Jan-Mar) and lost 30 lbs. I gained 20 back durning April-Nov and re-joined WW in Dec...this time, I'm going to the meetings & I've found that much better for me than online.

Right now, at 5'6", my stats are 215/210.25/135 I've got a ways to go, but I know I will be able to do it this time. School starts this week and it'll be interesting to see how I can juggle eating right, exercising, studying, working full-time and going to school in the evenings. It'll be tough, but I'll manage.

Have any of you thought about trying the "fast track" program? I'm trying it starting this week. So far so good. I'm interested to see how much of a weight loss it will give me over the next 2 weeks.

Just got a call from my sister. She and I are joining WW and will be going to our first meeting on Friday. She has a whole 10 lbs to lose. I've got her beat by about 80 more.

I'm not looking forward to looking and moving around the hospital like the great white whale in my uniform. This is just what I needed.

140/139/125.

I started WW on Sunday, and I'll be attending my first meeting on Thursday. I'm thinking of doing Fast Track just because those last ten pounds are SO HARD to take off.

I also did the online WW last spring (came within 5 lbs. of goal) but then went off and promptly gained back 10 lbs. I'm hoping the in-person meetings will provide me with more motivation and accountability.

klone...I've found the meetings to be a lot more motivational than doing it yourself online. I think I feel like I'm more accountable for things when I am actively paying each week at the meetings & getting weighed by someone other than myself.

I go weigh in tomorrow. I think these are my stats: 140/140/130. I will find out more about FastTrack at the meeting but if it's low-carb then I'm not interested. I tried that before and it made me so tired I had trouble teaching my aerobics classes. Good luck to all of us on this fresh start. I'm writing my food down! That's the ticket for me. Nothing good happens if that doesn't get done.

Besides weighing in, what happens at a WW meeting?

Well, I thought I was going to start back yesterday. I did fine until the afternoon...when I have nothing to do since I am not in school right now. I was looking for something to snack on, and who should come to my door but my mother-in-law with her leftover chocolate-chocolate-chip-death cake. (death for me that is) She said her friend made it and it was so delicious with sour cream and all kinds of goodies in it. So...I had both the pieces she brought over. :imbar That blew the entire day because they were probably like 35 points each!!

Anyway, I seem to have put on a couple of pounds this vacation. I am up to 134 according to my scale. I was about 129-131 a few weeks ago. I don't have that far to go, so maybe on Sat I will go to the meeting for the fasttrack thing, too. You don't have to have a coupon to get it do you?

I would really, really like to get to 125. Of course, I am actually within my range at 134 because I am 5'9". But, you know, I can really see those 3 lbs right in my tummy!! And, I can't let this go on...

RNKittyKat...they are motivational type things. The leader will talk about a specific subject that week, everyone shares their experiences, losses, etc. They give little tips and hints, and so on. If you have a good leader it can be kind of fun.

No, WW doesn't do low carb. I believe Fast Track is a 2-week meal plan that you have to make choices among. So you're sticking with your point target (20/day for your weight) and you're not given the additional 35 extra points per week. They also give you an exercise DVD.

It's not designed as something you do all the time, but just for two weeks. It's supposed to speed up weight loss and get you over plateaus.
