Hi everyone. I think it is best to keep this on our bb. As it may get lost on the off topic bb. things fly by so fast over there

So I had a cheat day yesterday. I am back on track again today. My cheat wasn't too serious but it still was. Sometimes it is just so hard. Anyways I have 10 pounds off so far. My goal weight is 150lbs. I try to exercise every day. I haven't done anything yet but today isn't over yet. How is everyone else doing?

Hi everybody!!!

I am so excited to have found this site!!!

I hope there are some experienced nurses on here because I have some very specific problems - meds that I take cause weight gain...& Hyperthermia - YUCK! If anyone could give any help in that regard I'd be forever in your debt!!!!

I can't wait to be on here to support and be supported:kiss

Anyhow - I don't know my exact weight right now BUT I do know that I gained 10lbs in July alone and over the last 5 years I have doubled myself (but I was toooo thin). So, I'm approximately 215, 5'5" and my initial goal is 150 - hopefully more like 130.

Fortunately - we have a great Gym on campus - All FREE w/ cardio, classes, weights...and a fellow student is going to be my "buddy" at the gym.

I am sooooo GLAD I FOUND YOU GUYS:lol2:

Hey BeaRN~

Welcome to our little corner of the world......

You'll learn a lot here!

I was wondering if I could join in this club??

I didn't have major issues with my weight till I started nursing school... sound familair?

And then I lost a LOT of weight, i wasn't eating hardly anything, adn running all over the place doing doubles on the ward and then from uni I was going straight to work.

But I saw sense, and since than I have not only put on the weight I lost but gained more , which I am now trying to shift. I am 5'7'' I think and about 182 pounds (if I converted i right) I would love to loose a couple of stones and go back down to ten stones(140 pounds) or less;)

I had a very bad day yesterday(I stress eat), and took my frustration out on the tub of nutella... not quite figured out how to tell my diet buddy... :imbar

But this is a great thread

Hi everybody!

well, i just read Whisper's reply and thought "how polite - she asked to join" at the same time i realized that i didn't! so, sorry if i should have - i'm not too familiar w/ this whole webboard thing...

but! since i already invited myself to join - i'll tell y'all that i weighed in at about 212 today (YUCK) and worked out for about 2.5 hours at the VERY FANCY gym on campus. though i did feel a bit like a fish out of water as everybody there looked about 18 and perfect...

welcome Whisper - i'll be happy to talk with you!

no need to ask it is here for anyone with weight issues. At least this thread is. We are all here to support each other. Welcome everyone.

I am very motivated after reading everyone's replies. I am 5'7" and weigh 143. I would like to get to 135. It doesn't seem like much, but it is really hard to lose eight pounds. I guess I will dust off my treadmill and get started. I just plan to walk and work on abs and do push ups. I need to get back to my healthy eating again. Subway is a great way to cut down during lunch. Not to heavy on your stomach either. I started back to school on the 21st so I have to get back in the groove of things.

hey all,

I'd like to join in too if that's alright. I start nursing school on Sept 3, and hope to graduate in 2004 with my ASN. I currently weigh 145# and would like to lose 10#. I'm 5'4 so I could stand to lose some wieght. I'm anxious about keeping up with my exercise regimen and my studies. Right now I exercise 6 days a week and plan on cutting back to 5 while in Nursing school. I'm hoping that I can keep it up. I watch what I eat but this weekend I blew it. So I'll just mind my p's and q's this week. Wish me luck. We can do this.

:p Trudi

Welcome welcome! Just my update. I am maintainning around 321. Wish it would come off a bit faster but it took me forever to get it on. I went for a mile and a half walk yesterday. I felt pretty good afterwards. Today it will be areobics I think. Well have a great week everyone!

Good Morning You All!!!!!!I stepped on the scale this morning and I lost 1 1/2 lbs!!!!!!:)I know I said I was going to start my routine last week, but the thruth is I didn't. I was really busy trying to get things ready before school started, and didn't make the effort to go to the Gym. But this week is going to be different. I start school tomorrow, and I wrote an schedule, and wrote down GYM, on 3 days of the week. Onother thing I started doing is drinking more water. I'm now drinking 18 oz a day. I know it's not much, but to me it is, since I NEVER drink any water., and I guess it has helped since I've been able to loose wait w/out working out.

Well ladies, got to go. Have a great week and I'll check in w/ you again next Monday. Let's keep up the good work.

Ana:)

OK...this is going to be harder than I thought! I was exercizing before every Monday Wednesday and Friday...but now with classes this is getting a to be a little more difficult! I'm only taking 2 classes but they meat from 7-10pm on Monday, 5-8 on Tuesday and 9-3 on Saturdays. Now, I know it only takes 20-30 minutes to work out but it seems like a lot while also trying to fit in studying and maintaing my home along with working full time! Ugh! OK...So, I'll work out on Wednesdays, Fridays, & Sundays.

Good luck to us all as classes get going!
