so is anybody else just starting nursing classes this fall and getting really excited? i am :) i havent been thinking about it much lately...three months seemed like a really long time at the end of last semester, and ive been working at a temporary job while school is out, but it just hit me yesterday that in only 4 weeks ill be going to my first day of nursing school! yay! :balloons:

I start on August 17th. I am so excited I can hardly stand it! I have made a good friend in my pre req classes, and we have been accepted to the same nursing school! We had our orientation yesterday, ordered our books and uniforms, and now it's official! We've already talked on the phone 5 times about how excited we are! I know you guys feel the same way...all this hard work is finally starting to pay off!

of course, my tuition bill hasn't come yet...that might take the edge off a little! hahaha :rolleyes:

I start in three weeks. Gosh, this summer has gone by super fast!

I'm less excited about it than I was. Doing the CNA clinicals kinda took the romance out of the whole idea. :chuckle Still looking forward to it, but I'm starting to realize that it's mostly just going to be a lot of studying and hard work.

Ack! Could I be experiencing burnout already?? I can't wait for Microbiology to be over.

I'm so excited..and I just can't hide it..I'm about to start school and I think I like it!!!!:chuckle The waiting is killer tho!!! I have orientation Aug 11 and 12 and we start school Aug 16!!! I've already ordered my books(via Barnes and Noble) their the cheapest way to go. Other than that..I've been doing all the partying and traveling I can now cause when school starts..School will be my Life!! Goodluck Ya'll!!!

And I am envious of those who can get your books early. Our book list is not ready yet.

I hear you on that one! There are nazis working in our bookstore that won't share a thing, and keep telling me to come back the second week of August. (One week before classes start!) I will not be happy if I don't have enough time to buy off the internet and have to use the bookstore. :angryfire My program chair was kind enough to offer to e-mail me the ISBN numbers when she gets them, but I haven't heard yet, and she's out on medical leave.

My son is starting daycare for the first time ever. I'm sure he'll like it, but it will be sad for me. :o Other than that, I'm SO excited to start clinicals!

yah, im sure we'll all wish it was summer again pretty soon after we start and have tons of homework and studying, but right now we just get to be excited :)

i think its the three months off of school too, im not used to not having to study for 3 whole months, so its given me time to forget the stress of having two tests and two papers in the same week...but itll start again soon. and i know what you mean about not getting books early...im going to charge mine to my financial aid account, but they wont let you do that till like a week and a half before classes start, so i have to wait unless i want to pay the 500+ dollars up front, which i dont want to do. oh well, still excited :)
