I'm thinking about picking up another class for the semester because the ones I'm currently taking aren't very challenging and don't require much outside work. Principles of Chem (less than 1 hr of homework), Yoga (no homework!), Brain and Behavior (no book=no outside work), Sign Language 1 (very little outside work). Edukan offers A&P 1 starting in March and running for 8 weeks. Do you think that's doable? I've already taken an A&P class a couple of years ago that isn't acceptable anywhere, so I feel like it won't be as tough as it would be for some people, but I don't want to get in over my head at the same time.
What do you think?
Also, they say in the syllabus that you should buy the books through eCampus, but do you see any reason why I couldn't buy through Barnes & Noble? They're quite a bit cheaper.
I strongly recommend the CD that comes with the book (and online access, buy it if you received a used book) take the practice quizzes that are on the CD. They are not reused on the test, but they will help you to understand what you need help with. Use the internet as a resource (like this site, fun2care's site, and other college's a/p site, for further instruction.. because like I stated earlier, there is no real instruction... but he is available for questions..good luck...and start reading now! you can even start doing the labs now.. (in the adam book) e-mail him and ask him for the syllabus in advance, I did, and he sent it right away.
This is so helpful...I'll email him tomorrow, thank you!
Is it the same syllabus you can access on the website? If so, go here http://edukan.org/index.real?action=courses&Cat=C&NID=&SID=&CID=41479-2232016&Syl=Yes
Although I hope there's more info available on how to do the classes!
I'm taking my A&P class thruogh my community college in my CNA program. It is an 8 week class and I'm doing mcuh better then I thought I would. This class transfer to the LPN program I will start in the summer. I do have 2 chapter's a week and a test on each chapter. The biggest thing is the reading. All I can say is everytime you get a second have your book handy. I'm also taking Medical Term this quarter so all I'm doing is reading!:balloons: You can do you just have to set your mind to it.

I'm a dork! Last night I started doing the labs for unit 1 (into and 1.1-1.5)and by the time I finished, I was at 1.17! The labs are really easy and it just seemed smarter to get them out of the way. Can't wait for my book to get here monday so i can start the reading.
Have the rest of you started or do I win the biggest dork award???
By the way, I was playing around with the software and found a button that makes the "cadaver" modest by putting a leaf over the private areas! I laughed out loud when I saw that, afterall, how many memberes do you think we're going to see through our careers as nurses??? :lol2:

That's too funny! I've started reading a little of the text but plan to wait until after Tuesday to really get going on this...I have my nursing entrance exam that morning and its kind of hard to concentrate on anything else yet! Too funny about the leaf thing...

Good luck on your exam!!!! Don't get yourself too stressed, eat a good breakfast and ace it!
Take a break and get a laugh - on the ADAM program, go to Tools, Options, Dissectible and turn on the modesty feature! It is too funny!
