Hi! Who is applying to Weatherford for the spring 2011 semester?
I took the TEAS yesterday and didn't do as well as I was hoping. I am going to retake it and hopefully then I will have 18 or 19 points. It seems that the point system has changed and is only 23 possible points now, rather than 26.
I really don't know if 18 or 19 will be enough, but I haven't completed Micro so that is going to hurt me. I figure it is worth a try though! You can't win if you don't play! lol.
So who else is applying? How many points does everyone have?
formack, I think they typically take 20 alternates each semester, and there have been semesters where they've gone through the entire alternate list and actually contacted people who had received rejection letters to take a spot. If you're on the alternate list, your chances of getting a call are good.
I really don't think I will get in to TCC. I don't really care though. If I do get in, I may choose TCC because it is so close to my house. I just don't know. I will definitely have something to think about. Right now I am just so happy to be accepted to WC! I feel great!
WC is 35 minutes and is 29.4 miles from my home. TCC downtown campus is about 10 minutes but is literally 2.0 miles from my house.
I'm just not sure. I feel like TCC would be the obvious choice. However, I really don't know how good of a shot I have to get in there. My science course grades were A, B, B, and C. Not the best. But, I am definitely living proof that you don't have to have a 4.0 to get into nursing school. I did do well on the TEAS, and had a 4.0 in all of my other classes...but still. I can't tell you how many times I heardl "If you don't make all A's you won't get in." And i might not get in at TCC, but regardless of that, I got in.
Oh that is REALLY CLOSE to TCC, and they have the new cool campus. Let's hope you get into both and you get to CHOOSE! But at least if you don't get in at TCC, you're in at WC!!
I applied to WC and Tarleton. TSU has not sent out letters yet...probably a week or two. Does anyone know if I call will they tell me where I stand on the alternate list? Like #1 or #20. I am so glad I found this site!
Ok, i am getting ready to apply to Weatherford for the Spring 2012 class. So the ones that got excepted, can you please tell me your points so i can see where i might stand? I know they only take 20 for spring, so that narrows it down a bit, but still knowing points that got excepted helps.
Thats great, thank you! Lets me know what i need to strive for on the TEAS test, since that is the only way to really bust out the points if you have all other.
