Hi! Who is applying to Weatherford for the spring 2011 semester?
I took the TEAS yesterday and didn't do as well as I was hoping. I am going to retake it and hopefully then I will have 18 or 19 points. It seems that the point system has changed and is only 23 possible points now, rather than 26.
I really don't know if 18 or 19 will be enough, but I haven't completed Micro so that is going to hurt me. I figure it is worth a try though! You can't win if you don't play! lol.
So who else is applying? How many points does everyone have?
I think Tarleton is competitive to get into, but they only look at applicants from the Intro to Nursing Course, and there are close to 90 in the class. I thought a lot more than 130 applied at WC, but that was just from what other people told me (no one that applied). Good Luck getting in!!!
Heather,
Have you seen Tarleton's new nursing building?? I am wondering how nice it is. TCC just build a fabulous new building by Trinity River, that is to die for. I'm getting jealous of all these new high tech additions other schools are adding. :)
They are adding more students with the new bigger addition.
Yes i am taking Intro to Nursing at the new building. It is nice. I haven't seen the lab rooms yet though. Its three floors. I heard they were probably accepting 60 students. Did you apply at Tarleton or TCC also? I am pretty sure I'm going to go to Weatherford. Its a hard decision, I'm afraid of making the wrong one lol. If I go to weatherford and even if I had to pay for the bridge program, it would still be close to $10,000 cheaper.
I'm all for saving $$!
My kiddo graduates from Texas Tech in May with zero debt. :) My previous student loan is paid off. And I have no intention in getting more student loans in the future.
I am currently taking A&P II so TCC was not a choice for me, not sure about Tarleton. I only applied at WC this go around.

I think there was a person on the TCC thread (most of us here are also on that thread) and she worked at a hospital and was going through their education program (do not know the name of it). If she comes back on I'll ask her questions.
