Hi! Who is applying to Weatherford for the spring 2011 semester?
I took the TEAS yesterday and didn't do as well as I was hoping. I am going to retake it and hopefully then I will have 18 or 19 points. It seems that the point system has changed and is only 23 possible points now, rather than 26.
I really don't know if 18 or 19 will be enough, but I haven't completed Micro so that is going to hurt me. I figure it is worth a try though! You can't win if you don't play! lol.
So who else is applying? How many points does everyone have?
I'm stressing out for you guys..... quick question that I'm hoping those of you that have applied can help me with. Will WC accept my application if at the time I turn it in I'm taking a and p II and my final grade won't be available until a few days after the application deadline?

I had the same thing happen to me (I was finishing A&P II in a Summer session, and completed the class 3 days after WC's application deadline). KL said that I would need to turn in an official transcript with my application, along with an unofficial transcript that showed the class was currently in progress. I then had to make sure and get another official transcript to her as soon as possible after grades were reported. I had the new official transcript with my A&P II grade turned in to her within a week of finishing the class. She said if she didn't receive the new transcript by the time she was done processing applications, she would put a grade of a C down for the class.
I'm sure she would do the same thing for you, but just make sure she knows what is going on beforehand.
Okay now I have more questions..@ Dreamer how hard was it take A/P in the summer session. And StudentCL did you finish micro in enough time to turn in your transcipt before apps were finished being processed?
I took it at TCC and was lucky enough to find it in a summer session that spanned 10 weeks, instead of the typical 5 or 6 weeks. It was rough, going M-Th from 4:30pm-10pm, but it was doable. You just have to know that it's only temporary, and that no matter what, your main priority is that class. I ended up with an A in the class.
No I didn't. It counted as a C. My science GPA was really low with that C mixed in. I also had a B, another C, and an A. I only got 2 of the possible 6 points for science GPA. After I took micro and reapplied(this application period) I had 4 of the possible 6. So, if I had done better in some of my other science classes, I probably would have had enough points to get in even without micro.
I feel much more confident than I did the last time I applied. But I am also seeing how let down I will be if I don't get accepted. I never thought the wait would feel like this!!! I'm just so nervous, and yes, every single day it gets worse!!!!! I guess I will head to work and hopefully that will distract me from the anxiety!
Also, just out of curiosity, does anyone know what the curriculum is for fall acceptance? KL sent me the spring acceptance curriculum (evening classes) twice. I am curious as to what times and days we would attend school/clinicals. If nobody knows, I will just wait til after we get letters to find out. I don't want to bother KL with anything other than processing our apps! lol!!
