Hello,
I am fairly new to this board and I have been accepted to a BSN program for Spring 2006 so I don't have a "lot" of info yet. I'm wondering if the uniforms are required ONLY during clinicals/practing w/ patients OR does your school require that you wear them during classroom instruction as well.

For us its only required during clinicals and the lab coat must be worn during skills lab.

Our uniform is only for clinical or lab returns. During class we are expected to dress "professionaly".

We wear scrubs during clinicals only thank goodness. We do have a dress code in class but just the basics, no short shorts or short skirts...nothing that shows your stomach

Uniform for clinical only...lecture anything goes (unfortunately...I have had to stare at many a thong climbing out of low rise jeans). Lab we also can wear anything, except sandals.

we wear our lab coats for preclinicals, uniform for clinicals, and follow the school's normal dress code for lecture and lab. However, skills check off we wear what ever is required.

If someone shows up in their clinical uniform or scrubs at school (even clean, out of the wash!), you are told to go home and change. We wear regular clothes for our lab practicals & pass-offs.

Only for clinical. Except for the Psych rotation which is professional dress. In lecture...come as you are...
good luck, dave :)
Actually, a lot of them were, believe it or not (who can concentrate with all that hangin' out)....I am a straight chick and I can't help but stare at some of the stuff that shows up. :chuckle Put it away, people!
