Let the stalking begin. Letters should be comming out in about two weeks. Anyone else waiting? I applied with a 3.8 and 81 NET all classes done and done at WCCCD.
My sentiments exactly, LM. I'm getting annoyed because yes, we do have until January, but we have to get quite a lot done before then - titers/booster, TB test, drug test, physical, CPR card, etc. I actually had someone (in the Nursing dept) tell me I should do it all before I even applied. Er, no? She couldn't tell me how long anything was valid, so why would I risk doing something in June that they might not accept in September, October, or whenever they feel like actually looking at the applications we stressed ourselves out on?
Raaaaage.
OMG What else do they have to do beside Info. meetings which don't happen in the summer just late august and choose the starting class!!!
Just a thought from the other side... They actually have quite a bit more to do than just the Info meetings...like taking care of paperwork, scheduling, etc., for the hundreds of us that are already in the program.
I dont know about the drug test since they just started those and I have to go get mine before school starts in a few weeks.
I am hoping the drug screen is good all year...but didn't think to ask when I dropped mine off. BTW, if you need yours still - it cost me $25 at the Providence Clinic in Southfield.
The END of September? That makes no sence. I signed up for the nursing assistant classes because they will not take my Medical Assistant certification as past medical experience in case I do not get in. I though I would have time to get the letter and if I get in I could drop the nurse assistance class. Now what to do? Does this mean that there were many applicants, and they are overwhelmed going through all the applications? Well all we can do is sit back and wait.
Well I am going to keep the nurse assistant class and it can only help me in the long run. If I get in this time them maybe it gives me an advantage and if I don't then I have the extra points for Feb. application meeting. I am actually surprised at how patient I have been, I figure it will be a nice surprise one day to see the letter in amil box. Gotta think positive.
And I feel for the people in the office, thay are being hounded daily from people desperate for their letters, trying to keep everything straight for Fall to start and everything else they have to do.
Hang in there everyone!

I called today actually and the RUDE lady told me, Don't worry they will be mailed out you won't even start until January anyways so you have plenty of time to receive a letter, and we haven't even decided on anyone yet. OMG What else do they have to do beside Info. meetings which don't happen in the summer just late august and choose the starting class!!! :argue::trout: This is really starting to tick me off!! Come on now can the school get it together for at least one semester?????
