WCCCD Nursing Information Sessions/Meetings
They do not charge for info meeting. I just went to the one last week. There were over 200 people there. SO that's over 100. and we didn't have to pay. Why should we have to pay for information about a program for a school we pay a **** ton of money to to attend a meeting. Whoever told you that is just plain stupid.

wcccd nursing program schedule??
You will have a different schedule every 7.5 weeks. So there is really no plan to set in place. You just have to do it as it comes to you. I know it's a pain in the ass, but it will be worth it in the long run.

WCCCD Acceptance Letter
I called about 2 weeks ago, and the lady was extremely rude and said they haven't even chosen anyone let alone sent out letters. And that i have more than enough time to receive a letter before starting in January. But another one of my friends call and they said hopefully (yeah key word hopefully) they will have them out by the end of august beginning september.

WCCCD, Applying for fall 2010
The second link is the book that i have. I got it in the WCCCD bookstore for $51 bucks. I get financial aid so I got it with that. So if you can find it cheaper go for it. Also, if you retake English 119 through wcccd, if all your other classes are done through wayne county, you will get additional points for acceptance. So it is a good idea. They do offer it online. I took it in class though so i don't have an instructor to reference you too. Check out the online version of the fall schedule on wccc website and look up the professors on ratemyprofessors.com and that should help you out some. GOOD LUCK!!!

WCCCD Spring 2010 Hopefuls
I called today actually and the RUDE lady told me, Don't worry they will be mailed out you won't even start until January anyways so you have plenty of time to receive a letter, and we haven't even decided on anyone yet. OMG What else do they have to do beside Info. meetings which don't happen in the summer just late august and choose the starting class!!! :argue::trout: This is really starting to tick me off!! Come on now can the school get it together for at least one semester?????

WCCCD, Applying for fall 2010
The TEAS has reading, math, A&P & Chemistry on it. They don't have Chem as a pre req so i don't know how they are going to deal with that. Maybe they can edit the test without it. Or they may add it as a pre req. who knows but i have a TEAS study guide and have been going through it and it's going to prove who the dumbasses are who don't know there a&p. lol

Repitable CNA schools
WOW $900 for a CNA class!! That is insane!! I am currently taking one in westland through nexcare health systems. They are behind Four Chaplins nursing home which is where you do clinicals. There cost is $675. This also includes your books. You need $400 down. They have day classes 9 to 330 monday through friday which is 3 weeks. They have night classes as well but they are four weeks because the class time is cut short. It's monday through friday 5pm to 10pm.

WCCCD Spring 2010 Hopefuls
I also applied for the program and am awaiting a letter whether it's denial or acceptance. I highly doubt i will get in but i chose to apply anyways. I have a 3.4 gpa, 62 on NET, all at wcccd, all co reqs. Im running out of classes to take. lol. I got a B in a&p1 and 2, & micro. I am currently redoing one for an A just in case i don't get in. And I am taking a CNA class in August. I figure i will get more points with a CNA cert. than redoing 2 and micro. (i hated micro and i took 2 and micro together last semester) Not to mention i want the CNA cert. so i can start working in a medical setting vs. my current employment. Good luck all. Post when you hear!!!:typing

WCCCD Spring 2010
THe books for bio 240 and 250 are being changed for the fall semester. So you prolly don't want an older book for that. THey recently switched Chem books too. They are like 300 bucks now.

WCCCD Spring 2010
I applied on the 30th. I have a 3.4, all classes at wcccd, and i am currently in patho and nutrition. All i have left is medical math which i am registered for in the fall. I really don't think i will get in but i figured i would at least apply.

Any other WCCCD Spring 2010 hopefuls?
I am applying on June 30th. I have no high hopes of getting in the program. I mean don't get me wrong I am dying to get in but I don't think i will. I have a 3.4 gpa. I got B's in micro and a&p 1 and 2. And A's in everything else. I took everything at wcccd. and have all but 1 co req done (HSC 100). I am currently retaking a&p1 over again because i got a B and want an A. If i don't get in i would have just wasted this semester to improve my gpa so i just used it wisely. I am extremely nervous though.

WCCCD Transfer ?
No, It doesn't seem like alot. I am taking A&p 2 and Micro right now and I don't think anything could top taking those two together. Lol. But try taking Patho online there are a few better instructors and I hear it's easier online too. Also depending on how well you are w/ science, i took micro online and you go in one saturday a month for labs. I love it. Great instructor as well. Good luck!
