  1. It seems that posts from WCCCD have petered out. Anyone out there that is starting Fall 2010? I ordered my books from Barnes and Noble online. I probably saved a couple hundred doing it that way. I have recieved tha books and went over the list a hundred to make sure the ISBN's match and all that jazz so if anyone is having problem with that let me know and I can help. I talked The nursing office to ask about the lab uniforms and shoes because people were talking about how they are real specific but they did not metion anything at the orientation just in the packet. The comfortable pants should be grey or black or navy blue. No decals or stripes like on the track pants and for sure nothing across the butt. Also they said no v-neck shirts. Well if you are out there let us know. And for those just getting done with their first semester let us know how it went.
  2. If you are just starting it will take at least 3 semesters. You need BIO 155 before you can take BIO 240 and BIO 240 before you can take BIO 250. Make sure and get A's in all 5 pre-req's so you can get in the first time you apply. Good luck.
  3. Congrats! I got mine and so did my friend!
  4. Red, My friend called and they told her end of April into May also so hopefully soon. Hang in there.
  5. I think maybe it is time for letters to be comming out. Anyone have the 411?
  6. Thank You very much. I was not able to start this past semester so I am in for fall 2010 and I am just getting anxious. I figure if I am gonna read or "study" this summer it might as well be something that will help me in the first semester. I hear the first 7 weeks is hell. Hope you are doing good and thank you again.
  7. I know what books are for the nursing program. I wanted to know from someone currently in the program which book I could benefit from starting on. I am looking for something to read over the summer and can not buy all the books at once. Just looking for a little friendly advice from fellow students.
  8. I'm not asking for the secrets to Fort Knox. Why is it such a secret what goes on with the nursing program?
  9. BIO 155 or the overall GPA does not count towards getting in the program. You need a high GPA in the 5 classes; A&P 1, A&P 2, ENG 119, PSY 101 and Micro-biology. Get A's in those five and score good on your teas and you will be in.
  10. I would like to get one or some of the books for the nursing program within the next week just to look them over and start reading up. Of the books from the first semester which book do you use most or refer to most or you would recommend I start with. Thank You.
  11. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve! I have re-checked my papers a dozen times and re-read the letter. I have every alarm set in the house, my bag ready, water bottle and lunch! You'll be able to pick me out because I'll be the old Gal giggling like a school girl! See you all in the AM. For my Crazy-B-Fly Girl! Your next so hold on!
  12. I can breath easy for a minute, I am in for January!
  13. I am about to go crazy! When are they sending out the letters?
  14. HI Crazy B-Fly Gurl! Just checking in to see if anyone got their letters yet. Still waiting patiently.
  15. Well I am going to keep the nurse assistant class and it can only help me in the long run. If I get in this time them maybe it gives me an advantage and if I don't then I have the extra points for Feb. application meeting. I am actually surprised at how patient I have been, I figure it will be a nice surprise one day to see the letter in amil box. Gotta think positive. And I feel for the people in the office, thay are being hounded daily from people desperate for their letters, trying to keep everything straight for Fall to start and everything else they have to do. Hang in there everyone!
