Let the stalking begin. Letters should be comming out in about two weeks. Anyone else waiting? I applied with a 3.8 and 81 NET all classes done and done at WCCCD.
I know the waiting seems impossible, but every nursing student has had to wait to get their acceptance/sorry letters. They will come in due time. In the meantime, this is a great opportunity to start working on some of the requirements like your physical, BLS card, blood work, immunizations and so forth. When I was accepted we had about 6 weeks to get everything done. You guys are actually lucky.
Now on to the issue of the nursing office not giving you a straight answer!!! GET USED TO IT!!!!! If you can't go with the flow of constant change, the right hand NEVER knows what the left hand is doing and ask three people :: get three different answers, then you will never make it through this program! It will eat you alive!!!! You must be flexible! Don't complain to them, they don't want to hear it and it only ****** them off. Kiss ass, put on your mask and act like everything is great and you will make it to the end with less stress. Trust me... I am going into my third semester and I have seen it all LMAO!!!! Do whatever you do to cope and you will be fine. Life is just PEACHY!!!! LMAO!!!!
Anywho, smile you are about to embark on the journey of a lifetime!!!! No book will be left unopen, no page left unread, no laundry washed for weeks on end, reckless spending on carryout because you have no time to cook let alone go grocery shopping, gain 10lbs from sitting on your rear studying, reading, eating, studying, reading eating...oh the life of a nursing student....isn't life as a nursing student just peachy? LMAO!!!!!
Just some advice- the more you call the nursing office the longer they will take. Get used to it because you will never get a straight answer from anyone in that office. I'm starting my last semester and we were never told that we needed drug tests bug when you call the office they tell you that you are supposed to know. So on top of learning all things nursing you also must read minds. Don't leg yourself get worked up now you have the next two years of the program for that. They are always very busy before classes start so just be patient, the letters will come! Good luck to you all and don't forget--RELAX!

oh man, i hear you pain......just reading some of the post got my anxiety level back up again. this is so true, "now on to the issue of the nursing office not giving you a straight answer!!! get used to it!!!!! if you can't go with the flow of constant change, the right hand never knows what the left hand is doing and ask three people :: get three different answers, then you will never make it through this program! it will eat you alive!!!! you must be flexible! don't complain to them, they don't want to hear it and it only ****** them off. kiss ass, put on your mask and act like everything is great and you will make it to the end with less stress. trust me... i am going into my third semester and i have seen it all lmao!!!! do whatever you do to cope and you will be fine. life is just peachy!!!! lmao!!!!" walk in with a smile even when you feel like crying or cussin' someone out. you know you can attract bees with honey right?
your letter...it will come either way in due time. use this time to get your house in order, exercise, get your mind ready. hey, organize a cute little study nooke for yourself. buy lots of black pens (why did i buy a ton of blue just to realize you need to document in black?), paper, organizers (practice writing sn behind your name). try to figure out what will work for you to help with stress and anxiety. your waiting game will be traded for a whole new set of worries come january.....i was you 3 years ago.:wink2: keep your head up!

Hello! No I havent gotten a letter yet. I guess one of the other posts were right- we better get used to this and deal with it. I kinda figured that out when they started changing things and not informing anyone. I called to ask about the TEAS test and they told me they'd post info in teh middle of Sept and when I asked where it'd be posted she got an attitude and told me to call back the middle of sept.....grrr
No letter here, either. I haven't bothered to call and ask for an update, because it really doesn't matter at this point. Between my current Fall classes and everything else, I'm not really stressing over it anymore. When it comes, it comes. Granted, I want it now now now, but there's nothing we/I can do but wait. :\
