I completed WGU's online RN-to-BSN program in March 2015 and loved it.
1. There were no discussion board posting requirements.
2. There were no minimum log-on requirements.
3. The delivery format is asynchronous and self-paced. One person can complete the program in a few months whereas another person can take an entire 18 months to complete it if needed.
4. The deadline to complete a course is at the end of each 6-month term. There are no weekly assignment submissions.
The major one reason I went with wgu for my bsn was no stupid discussion posts, no group projects, no required loging in so many times. It's all self paced. I would say one thing is to set deadlines for yourself or else it can be hard to stay motivated. I am probably the laziest student out there and will let a week go by if I don't set deadlines for myself and make sure I stick to them. I finished in about 11 months which is actually pretty long as I saw a lot of people wiz by and finish in less then 6 months. I would say 5-10 months is about the average to finish.

Do you need to be working as an RN for clinical portion?

Any advice , I plan to start classes in june with WGU. I tried online schooling with Notre dame and it was awful. I was expected to log in every day and had points deducted if not. Also I was not fond of discussion forum.
