Hello to everyone.. I've read alot of posts in here and I am nervous like the rest of you waiting to take the NCLEX..I am scheduled for the 16th of Jan. I thought about waiting to take it, but then I was afraid I'd forget some stuff from school..I struggled really hard in school and it was along hard year, but I made it by the grace of GOD !! So now I am going over the Saunders book, but my friend just took it and she said the Saunders didn't help..So now I am freaking out, I'm not sure how to study now..Also I was told that there are several fill in the blank questions !! I'm hoping not or I am in BIG trouble..Any advice would be helpful..Thanks
I finally just got my ATT yesterday and scheduled for my exam Feb. 4th. It seems like they are booking up pretty quick though. I feel terrible that it took that long though because I graduated on December 20th and sent all my registration stuff in on December 17th. My teachers recommended it. Good luck. It may be different in other states, I live in Michigan, processing takes forever here (Granholm).
FYI, you are one step ahead if you register w Pearson Vue even before receiving your eligibility letter. Boards and everyone else will tell you you to wait until you get your eligibility letter, but once you do get that letter you are ready and set to go pick out your day and time WHEREAS, if you wait until you receive your eligibility letter you wait up to 72 hours, which to some 2-3 days later may not be a problem, but I am a planner and inpatient and am already set now for Feb 8th. My classmate I just talked to got his letter today as well and guess what? He didnt sing up early as I suggested so hes waiting the extra 3 days. Just a 'heads up'. Oh and good luck to those taking here soon... Im super stoked Im almost there, but yet Im allowing for extra time to still study... I hope to pass my first time...
Hey I Am In The Process Of Reveiwing For My Nclex-pn Also And I Am So Freaking Nervous I Don't Know What To Do. I Have Been Answering Qiestion On Nclex-practice Exams And Sometimes I Do Great And Sometimes I Do Not. I Have Also Been Using Meds Pub And That Seems To Enhance My Knowedge A Little. I Have Heard From Several Different People That The Nclex Had A Lot Of Priorization And Meds. I Don't Know I Am Just Nervous And Waitng For My Authorization To Test. If You Have Any Knowledge Of Anything Pertaining To Nursing Or Testing I Would Love For You To Share It With Me. Thanks. Nene

Listen to what people have to say, but do realize how the test is formatted. One person can say that they had many pharm questions, while another will say they had many prioritization questions. the reason some people get more questions in that area is because they probably aren't doing as well. One guy will say he got 3 pharm questions and moved on, while another (the one that fails) gets up to 15 questions. The nclex will keep testing you in that area to see what your comprehension is. This is how it test all fields, and so it better to be comprehensively ready and not study just one subject. The nclex is your own personal experience and based on your aptitude. Although, it is wise to understand you prioritization and meds before you take your test. I am taking mine Feb 4...so I am praying that all my studying will pay off. I am very tired already.

I don't know what time you are scheduled to take your NCLEX but I know you're taking it today and I wanted to wish you GOOD LUCK!!!! Let us know how it went! Be waiting for your response!
I've heard that our director sent our paperwork to the BON on Dec 20th (2 days after our graduation) so if it takes 4-6 weeks to review, I'm thinking I will receive my eligibility letter at the end of January. I already paid and registered for the NCLEX (just to get it outta the way).
Thanks TImgirl...I'm hoping by the time I receive my ATT that early February dates are still open...I'm taking Micro in the Spring so I want to take and pass the NCLEX soon!
Nene...I'm studying Saunders Comprehensive...I'm studying one module/body system at a time and if I score below a 75% I review that section...Then, after I've reviewed all body systems (including child health, maternity, and PHARM), I think I will start testing myself comprehensively...I also bought the kaplan review online...I haven't been studying that one but when I tried the first 3 times I scored mid to high 50%...yup you heard me...50%...It takes a lot of practice...GOOD LUCK!

I might be able to get the quick results on Saturday from Pearsonvue.
Yeah, 2.5 hours to answer 85 questions, I was taking my sweet time with it cuz I didn't want to rush and mis-read anything.
