Waiting for the result is killing!!

Took my NCLEX test few days ago here in California. California does not provide the quick result service. So waiting for the result is killing me. I keep checking the BRN wesbite hoping to see my name on the site but has been unsuccessful so far. My freinds took their test few months before and saw their name on the site in couple of days. Does that mean I have failed??? :( Please include me into your prayers!! Thanks

Ashi,

You are in California, correct?? If so, why don't you call the BRN? I know that they won't give results over the phone, but if you have been waiting a long time for your results, I think that they could at least offer an explanation of some sort!!

I know that we are not supposed to call and bug the BRN folks..but it's your sanity in question. It has only been three days for me, and I am all kinds of anxious so I can only imagine how you feel.

You should have had your results by now.............lately they have been posting in just a few days........I would call them to see if anything is missing from your file, they don't phone you if there is.

GOOD LUCK!!! I took the nclex on 5/7 and found out I passed on 5/10. I thought the three day wait would kill me. My license came in the mail yesterday.

You should have had your results by now.............lately they have been posting in just a few days........I would call them to see if anything is missing from your file, they don't phone you if there is.

I called them a week ago and they said they needed my school transcript in order to release the result. Requested the school to send the transcript and was send on 5/3 .I called them again yesterday and asked them if the papers were complete and the lady on the phone said, it will take them atleast 7-10 bussiness days to recieve the trascript and another week to process the papers.

Suzanne, is it true that they usually send the result in mail if you have FAILED even if your papers were not complete??? One of my school mate took her test few months before me and she got the big envelope in mail in five days. But I dont know for sure if her papers were complete or not. I am hoping for the best!!!

What a relieve eh? Today is the 23rd days for me!!! Its just crazy to wait for the result that long.

It would sure be nice if they notified about failing results even if the transcripts haven't been received yet. At least that way, you can start preparing for what needs to be done next.

I called the BRN today to see if maybe, by some off chance, my transcripts had actually been sent. No luck :o I was told that it can take up to two weeks for the transcripts to get through the Dept. of Consumer Affairs and then to the BRN. HUHHHH?? So, the transcripts are mailed to the BRN but the DCA gets them and then gives them to the BRN. And we in CA wonder where our tax dollars go!! :rotfl:

I am glad you called ahead of time. I waited for almost three weeks and found out that the transcripts were not in. According to my understanding I thought that all your papers were complete once you get your permit to take the test. I was wrong!! :o Anyways, Stay positive!!! We will soon be :balloons: :balloons:

Depends on the state BON. Most now are waiting until the transcripts are in before permitting the release of the ATT.

A very good idea and one that I wish California's BRN had adopted before now.

I am guessing that my results are going to be issued around the same time as the people who are taking the test 3-4 weeks after me. It's almost like you are punished for taking the test early here in CA, although that is what is recommended by all of the instructors at my school.

As I was driving home from taking the NCLEX, a lightbulb suddenly went off when I realized I might not get my results in two or three days like I originally though. Not a good feeling.

When I called the BRN recently, I asked why we were permitted to take the test without our final transcripts being there but we weren't allowed to know our results. The person helping me said "Because you guys are always in such a hurry to take the test!" Okayyyyy......... :uhoh3:
