I thought it might be nice to have a place for us to vent our frustrations with waiting until May 30th or so when letters start going out. I know I'm going nuts already!
How about introductions and a little info about each person?
I'm applying to both Bloomington and Indy-Lawrence for the Fall 2009 ASN programs. I turned in my apps this week with 4 As on the pre-reqs and a 90.0 on the TEAS. My eventual goal is at least getting a BSN, and if I feel like doing homework long enough, an MSN of some sort. I work full time now, but will hopefully only work part time if I get accepted. I'm so antsy to start preparing and finally feel like all of this is real!
Hi Sandemom! Congratulations!!!!! :balloons::hrns&wlcm:Look forward to meeting you at orientation :wink2:
Thanks! I think I read back that your name is Amy, right? Mine is Kelly. It would be nice to get a group of girls together before or after the orientation to get to know each other better. We'll all be spending quite a bit of time together and going through the same stress, I'm sure.
I got my Indy letter this past Friday and that's such a huge weight off my shoulders! I'm still waiting to hear from Bloomington because that's my first choice.
oh geeez. i had that all mixed up. i am sending you my BEST good luck vibes! You'll get in! i am just waiting for my ONE and only school to send me a letter. 207 isn't the best score. i only took the TEAS once. i am just sitting here with my fingers crossed.
i wanted to say... and i am sure that i am not alone here. THANK YOU to you for starting this thread! i think we all really appreciate it! :loveya:
Hello everyone! I'm new here but I stumbled on this site about a week ago and have been checking it every day since then to see who has got their letters. Congrats to all that have been accepted! I only applied to Fort Wayne with a 204 but I am crossing my fingers. I see that I have the lowest score between the others that applied to FW, Makes me even more nervous! Well, I hope we all get our letters soon! So this torture can end! I'm so glad I found this site, it really has helped this past week! Thank you for starting this thread lennonninja!
Did anyone from Fort Wayne have Moga last semester accelerated?

Re: immunizations - For all Mommas: you might consider calling your OB-GYN for a copy of your prenatal labs, as routine panels typically screen for Rubella immunity. If my 20+ year old results aren't crumbled by now, that should work as proof and will save the cost of another titer!
thats a relief. i am really enjoying micro so far. my online classes don't start until june 8th. i am employed through AWS and we are required to update our CPR annually. they pay for it and i hope it will fly for the program. i just recertified last month. yipee! i talked to J.D. in the nursing department today and she said that she had all of the letters on her desk right now. She said that they were putting all of the information in the system and we should have them in our hands in a few short days. AHHHHHHHHH!!i asked her what the cutoff was and she wouldn't tell me. only a few more days! i don't know why you are so anxious, you're in! i wonder how signing up for classes is going to work and when we will get our scrubs and all of that...
Do you just have one kid (xander)? is he in school or daycare when you are in school?
I am not worried about getting in so much as I am anxious for confirmation that I didn't screw anything up. I have done the work so I am excited to know that I will be moving forward on to the next step.
I have two kids, Xander and Fancy. They are 1 and 2 and they have never been to a babysitter or daycare. My husband and I watch them 100% of the time. He works nights and we somehow make it work. I am trying to arrange some play dates for them for the summer because they mainly just play with each other and us.
I am so anxious for the mail today. Good luck everyone!!!
